60 RARE Records Vinyl Haul - Part 2
that russian help cover is absolutely cursed
Great haul enjoyed the video.
Hi 👋 Don. Im viewing from New Zealand. Im in my sixties in age. I own a large collection of music from the 1960s onwards. I remember Tommy James & the Shondells. They had a string of hits in the mid to late 1960s. Their biggest one being the song Crimson & Clover from 1968 / 69. Good record collection there , nothing to be sneezed at. I viewed your video of your song from last year titled Level Green. I must say it was good , with the jangly guitar in it. From Carl.
You've done very well, Don! That RL Led Zeppelin paid for everything by itself 😅!
Store's wensite says 120 stores in 19 states.
Nice vid, glad to see ya back man! Level Green rocks
Nice haul!
Al Bowlly in the back 🤌
Might be an idea to ware mask.when dealing with dusty cds and lps like those ?
Welcome back
I've got over 2,000 records. Been collecting them for 50 years ✌🏼
The Band was from Canada.
Awesome videos, haven’t watched the channel in a while but I just love how you show the records you buy before I go to bed, it’s super relaxing. Keep making videos like these
I am also a huge fan of Christmas Music. I’m sure you’ve heard of it (and probably have it) - Have Yourself A Soulful Little Christmas by Kenny Burrell - Standards, but with his jazz guitar signature touch. I’d also recommend Jingle Bell Jazz - a composite album on Columbia. I think you would really dig those two. Cheers.
pile of nuthin
Some great records there, Don! Of course, I am most excited about that mono Sgt. Peppers at 20 bucks. You don't see that every day!
I remember watching you when I first started collecting, glad ur still going with it. I will check out ur music
My 1st pepper was mono.and alittle different to later stereo.
Looking good thanks.
nice showings. But want to give you nice praise for a really nice album you made. The songs are very original, unique and non repetitive,. Well done and hope you sell many!
I really appreciate that! Thank you for checking it out!!
Helo DonColeVinyl, thanks for sharing your record haul great albums.
Yeah, depending on condition. Assuming they were VG+ or better. If they were scratched, not. Some had some rips on the covers, but there were tons of duplicates, so you could probably piece together one good copy of each
You definitely got your money's worth. Shame about the trashed covers but with all the duplicates you have you might be able to Frankenstein a clean version if the cover matches the pressing. All in all a good score just with the Zep, Stones, Dylan and Sabbath. Obviously hard to tell but if the vinyl is in at least VG+ on the cleaner ones it's a major haul. Man, you've got some records to clean.
I can even begin to figure up how much you multipled your cash
I would make a recommendation for your jazz collection - MIDNIGHT BLUE by Kenny Burrell. I think you would really like it. Great Video, Don. I always like your stuff.
Ooh thanks! That album has been on my radar, but I haven't listened to it yet and haven't found a copy on vinyl. I'll be sure to give it a listen asap!
Thanks man for the shout-out & acknowledgement with my review - your album still gets constant plays around here! Hope you venture into more recording when time permits. Great to see a new video Don! Great to see so many minty Beatles. Do you have a preference for original UK Beatles or Capital USA 'adjusted' mixes (so to speak!)? Stay well, peace...
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoy it! I actually have a second album in the works, although it'll be a while before it's released. And I definitely prefer the original UK Beatles albums/mixes. I dislike the sound quality of the Capital releases, but they are interesting to listen to enjoy so often. They are fun to collect, though!
@@doncolevinyl572 Excellent, you have new material coming soon, I'll look out for any announcement! I know doing vinyl pressings can be quite costly & the waiting list for pressing is long but let's hope you can release your next album on vinyl as well. Thanks Don 👍
Great to see this video, Don. Of course, I love all the Beatles albums you picked up, but I was also super excited to see that Dawn of the Dead record! I love that movie, too, and was thrilled to hear you live near the filming area and know the mall. By the way, I was just listening to Level Green again recently. It truly is a great record. And if Abigail likes it, you know you're on the right track. Thanks for the kind mention, Don. I hope to do another video on indie artists who have produced vinyl records in the future, and Level Green will certainly be featured.
Thank you! Yeah, I am a huge Dawn of The Dead fan. I have met a lot of the actors at local conventions and have a framed poster signed by many of them. It takes me about 10 minutes to get to the mall, and I've visited some of the other local filming locations as well. And thank you, I really appreciate that!! And that would be great!
Nilsson had a b side called buy my album!
Glad 2 see you again.u were missed! ...
Nailed it. Yes, there are some with knackered jackets, but it seems like most of them are less-desirable titles anyway. Unless the discs are all trashed, this was a bargain, especially with record prices where they are eight years later. The only thing that concerns me is the duplicates. My thought when I see four copies of Zeppelin IV is that he played it so much that he wore out the first three copies. Any truth to that?
I once attended a signing with Ray Davies, he was very rude.
Are they cassettes I see in the background? I'd love to see your collection as I collect them as well as records.
Yes they are, and I do have quite a bit! I may just get around to making a video of what I have sometime
@doncolevinyl572 Oh I really do hope so, I'd love to watch it :)
Hi from New Zealand. I grew up in the 1960s. The Australian group The Seekers were very popular internationally. I remember singing their songs at primary school level. Us children would sing Morning Town Ride. I like Elvis Presley , went along to the cinema back in the 1960s to see his movies. My favorite song of his is If I can Dream from 1968. Blondie are a fantastic group I was into in the late 1970s early 1980s. I had three of their albums , Parallel Lines , Eat to the Beat, and AutoAmerican. I like Paul Simon's 1970s music. The song Kodachrome is a favorite of mine. Good haul. From Carl.
Some great records. Your own record is incredibly good, too! I've ordered it so I can listen to it at my leisure. Thanks!
Of the two, I would have guessed Art Garfunkel to be the more accessible personality. What a disappointment! Some great records, though. I've always loved Simon & Garfunkel. I listened to your record on Bandcamp and love it! I ordered the LP. When it arrives, I'd love to review it on my UA-cam Channel.
Great, thank you!! I appreciate the support! The album will be shipped out for you tomorrow morning!
@@doncolevinyl572 Fantastic! I'm really looking forward to it.
@@doncolevinyl572 I posted a review of your record. I hope you like it!
That's a really interesting story about Mr. Garfunkel. It makes you wonder how many other figures that you look up to might actually be very different in person. 🤔
Sorry to hear your story about Art - even if he was having a 'bad day', taking it out on a fan can destroy the image you had of him, which it did. Those UK pressings from the 60s are superb, even if slightly worn etc. The dynamics can't be beat, even through the pops and clicks. They're a keeper for life! Great vid mate, hope you're doing well and still LOVING your album man. Peace...
Once again another great video and haul. I am Jealous that at your Goodwill is cheaper here in Los Angeles they go for 3.99 and has a huge sticker that they put usually in the middle of the album. Helpful hint use your salvia on the sticker and after a few minutes will lift up in a few moments. Yes I know it’s gross but it works. And man nothing beats those UK albums with the gloss and the sound. And yes Art is a notoriously rude person….separate the artist from the art. But damn he was so good in the film “Carnal Knowledge” and once again so happy you got more Sgt. Peppers!!!!
Hilarious story about Garfunkel. I probably would have tested him and said the Paul Simon show a lot better. I can't believe he disputed Pittsburgh being mentioned - I'm from Pittsburgh originally and have known this for years, as do many people that have never even been.
Hows sales doing
Thanks
Two video in one week 🙌🙌🙌
Very exciting fines, I imagine you get tired of hearing this but as a person of 60 years old I'm very excited to see a young person getting into this hobby. Those are all great song titles you have found. I hope you're very happy with them and enjoy them a whole bunch. I've been collecting records since I was in what we used to call Junior High school. Actually maybe even a hair earlier than that but anyways love your video very excited for you being in this hobby. I really hope you enjoy its :-) best of luck to you in your search!
ol donnie and joe emmerson...you two did well on that album
( continued) Pick that Porgy and Bess album up,it’s incredible
Great records. And so happy you,got more Sgt. Pepper! If you ever find a copy of Porgy and Bess with Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong!
Dang you always find great stuff! It's like you have a magic touch for finding great records
You should show some of your 8-tracks
Country joe is in woodstock movie and cd.have you seen dvd great music
Yes I have! Country Joe is great in that
Thanks always
