A brief video describing the common rotations for a 5-1 offense for volleyball. Use the bookmarks below to jump to certain parts of each rotation. 0:00 - Intro 0:19 - Rotation 1 0:40 - Service 1 1:22 - Serve Receive 1 2:34 - Rotation 2 2:42 - Service 2 2:49 - Serve Receive 2 3:14 - Rotation 3 3:23 - Service 3 3:39 - Serve Receive 3 4:02 - Rotation 4 4:10 - Service 4 4:18 - Serve Receive 4 4:42 ...
I understood that I understand nothing about this rotation. What a confusing mess. Why not play a simple rotation and not overcomplicate volleyball.
this makes it so much easier to understand thank you so much
my coach be making it so difficult he had one of our players correct us but i had to yell and correct everyone because she’s quiet
Libero doesnt serve.. right?
Coach just sent me this
This would be even better if you put a red dot on the players that are back court. Good video though.
Shiz makes no sense
Lock in bro you got it
this is so helpful
We are doing this rn we are like over halfway through the season still barely k ow what to do but this is helping me so much
sorry could you repeat that
my friends coaches are running this and they’ve switched up the rotations, it sounds really complicated 😅
arigato gyro
Thank youuuu 😅
Never seen a libero serve xD usually the middle serves once and then moves to libero position (5). When the ralley is lost and the enemy is serving the middle is replaced by the libero
aha...nooo. (I don't get this and need to know this by tomorrow 😭)
Thank you for a very clear explanation. 😍
Do you have PDF's of the rotations for download?
3:35 Libero serve ? Libero cam do that ?
I have the same question...
In the U.S. they can...
@@justrich9873 ohhh, I see.. Thanks
I have a match tomorrow and i have no idea how to move... Wish me luck...
Just do whatever ur senior says i done the same
thanks for being so clear
I have been playing recreational volleyball for decades and still don't understand the need for these rules. If the positions are ,as described, then every move becomes choreographed and predictable hence the element of surprise (attacks) are eliminated. It appears that majority of points are made only from strikes of sheer brute force/effort. In soccer the positions are set for 90m mins and nobody rotates so that attack moves aren't predicted. An even slow , innocuous move creates goals. Maybe I am missing something in these rules .
thank you so much! this video was amazing, I think I've watched it for like 10 times
When I was in middle school we ran a 6-2 rotation, but we never ran three passers. It was always 2 passers on serve receive and both setters on the court... literally 13yrs later am I finding out about all that you can with these rotations. I mean it worked (and we also only had six players on the team)
Perhaps you likely ran a 4-2 rotation? It is fairly common for middle school players. Both setters on the court with the front row setter setting two front row hitters.
@@Primeministahh idk. We called it 6-2. And by we, I mean everyone in my community
Subtítulos en español! No entiendo
Están ahí los subtítulos...
Isnt this like 5-1 rotation except that every one full rotation, the OP and Setter swaps with the other OP and Setter?
Like our coach told us to watch this now I feel like I must take notes cause it's alot
I think I have back row rotation down although it’s a little different than my coaches which is to be expected everybody coaches differently but this was very helpful! Thank you
This is one of my favorite
THE BEST VIDEO OF VOLLEYBALL😍💪🏻🔝

since when can a libero serve?
Good video! But Libero may not serve.
That's why i like 4-2 rotation etter because in 5-1, the opposite which was firts called utility and is the most strongest player on the court, is now very weak and defenseless, which is why they hide him when the opponent serves.
1 question. Why is the Labero not playing back middle and the OH going to left side in base D?
never mind. I just seen where that can be an option. Thanks!!
can you tell me app name
My hs team would run a 5:1, but it was usually only 2 back row serve receive. Don't know why tho
I'm still so confused
I play volleyball for my school and this is my 4th year. This saved me and my team! Btw I’m a setter
being an oppo is easy for this rotation
can any one helps me with what benefits of this 6-2 rotation!!
The benefit of a 6-2 rotation instead of a 5-1 rotation is that you can have 3 hitters in the front row the entire time you are playing.
This helped me so much! Thank you!!
This is very nice
Libero serving? I think not
For our set of rules in our country the libero is allowed to serve.
Hi thanks for your nice videos Which program you used to design?
I created the player icons in Adobe Illustrator and then used Adobe After Effects to animate everything.
Can the libero serve the ball ?
Rats
this got me through my season thank you
Played OH once, and the coach told me to just play the opposite of OH 2 and follow him. Now I understand 😂😂
As Oppisite, it takes a couple days of only practicing this to get a good feel of it.
Yes sameee omg
