Great interview I really wanted to hear Shane’s story

First time viewer and such a coincidence that your featured guest in today’s episode is Cait from Vintage Restored by Cait. That’s because earlier today, I was recommending my friend in New Jersey consider Fine Paints of Europe brand for her kitchen refresh and told how their site has a list of certified pros from which I had noted Cait’s info back in 2023, given her service area was Long Island (where I live) and her work looked great. So, I sent my friend that page link, which I had saved from before. Then later this evening, I happened to Google Cait’s business to see if there was more updated info, and that’s how I found this podcast! Great interviewing, Mr. Shrum, and so interesting to learn more about Ms. Cait and her business journey. Definitely will share w/ my friend, who’d be thrilled to contract a skilled woman who not only enjoys but also endeavors to produce such exquisite work!

Another great Video. I can't remember how I came about your channel but have watched, listened to a few episodes now. Particularly liked Konstantin's one as he was one of the guys I came across when starting on my cabinet refinishing journey. Loved this episode. Denny has a wealth of knowledge. I'm moving into a new shop and had never heard of ventless extraction before so thanks for that one. 🇯🇲🇬🇧

Not an entirely fair comparison as MDF is much denser and far less porous than wood. On old wooden cabinets (oak) I might apply 4-5 coats (2 primer + 3 pre-cat) if using white. MDF is never more than 3 with the same product.

I would say the exact opposite, building it is hard part, painting it is easy. lol

A few details missing. The big nut is what holds the whole thing on. Screw it back on too tight and you can strip the threads on the head right off. The knob nut and screw slot in the needle just control the Prime/Spray adjustment. Knob nut screwed in too far will keep in in Prime mode all the time. You need to put a screwdriver thru the 8mm socket to hold the needle while turning the nut. The o-ring adds resistance to pulling the needle out. I had to work it to get mine out. Finally, not sure why you would need to replace the whole assembly. It's just a needle that closes off a hole. Not sure how it wears out. Mine just needed a new 1/2" O.D. 3/8" I.D. O-ring because it was leaking.

No offense but the lacquer looks much better and real where the poly looks the mdf that it is also if the lacquer was done on mdf that would be a fair comparable as we can see the grain on the lacquer confirming your lacquer sample is not mdf and still looks awesome

I only use pre catalyzed lacquer or conversion varnish. The 2k doesn't look and feel like a professional finish from what I've seen

hold up a minute... what is door number 2 made of? not a fair comparison if one is oak other is mdf... oak grain is a bitch to kill out and need auqacoat or something similar...

Does oil-based primer come in clear? How about oil-based paint?

Wrong primer over drywall, now paint pealing. Can l go over water-based paint with oil based primer w/ o removing original paint? What's left of it! Or do l need to strip and redo my 10 x 24 shed? PLZ HELP!

I really hope you answer my question. I have the same machine but when I’m spraying and I look at the flow of the water or paint come out of the tip, it shakes aaaalll the time . What can I do to fix it? Where do I buy the parts
