Angel! Ocala is truly the "Horse Capital of the World", but it is not only for horse lovers. It is a fovorite destination for retirees and for families, although they do not own horses. Actually, about 12,000 new houses will be built within the next 3 years in various projects throughout the city. Most of them are for families and some are subdivisions for active retirees (55 plus). This is a very unique place in Florida and the US. Actually, the most common feeling when one comes here is wanting to stay!!!

Well said, Joseph! I moved from Colombia to Ocala 18 years ago! And never have found any place in the US that is more convenient. I used to give clinics about horses in many different states and have traveled for pleasure to others. To me, "Florida is the best, the rest is North". And Ocala is my favorite place that I call "My Dreamland".
