Very helpful!! I always wanted my kids to help take care of me but I never thought of it that way!! When I'm dependent on my children, I'm giving them my independence and more control of my life! Wow!!! Thank you sooo much!!!

Very good advise. My biggest regret is being so far from my siblings, my kids and grandkids. It is almost impossible now (in my 80s) for me to move closer (home).

This is great! Very helpful at 65. I am updating my older home in case I want to sell and go to a 55 plus. Yet, have a nice young woman nearby who cleans for me and 4-5 friends and neighbors who we check on each other and give each other rides to doctors and procedures. Safe place with lots of beautiful nature and everything very close by. Can easily order grocery and Amazon delivery. Starting to think I might just stay…my daughter is very busy and lives 3 -4 days drive away. Perhaps I should start making the house safer for aging such as grab bars…there are no steps. I am single and love my me time.

Sad your job is what defines you! That is awful. I knew when I started work out of college my goal was to beef up my 401k, travel, and retire. And I did all of those before I retired (well the last one came last). My ultimate goal.
