Probably because my guitar wasn't in tune or because my intonation was wonky? Also I was probably not applying pressure to some of the strings? But it's hard to say what caused it to sound like this after 4 years since posting this video. I'm actually surprised how terrible the guitar sounds in this video. I guess this is what growing as a musician and building standards looks like: early stuff can be rough.

I like to use YT to research effects pedals, but it's difficult to find someone who would use them the way I would. It's refreshing when you find someone that does. (Hence the deep dive on older videos lol)

@@benchambers1173 I know the feeling! You pull up 90% of pedal demos on youtube and it's like some generic rock cover with reverb thrown on it. Not really a great way to know if a pedal will work for ya...

I honestly can't remember, apologies. It's been a long time and my settings are always in flux. I DO remember that the tone you're hearing in the video is more the result of pushing the amplifier really hard, rather than the big muff tone. Though obviously that was part of it.

@@DukeofItaly I can't say I remember that either - I've also sold the model T. But with the T, there's no distortion levels. Just "volume" and "bass/mids/treble". It really was just turning it up super loud. If you're looking to make a big drone tone though, I'd suggest a chain of effects such as Sustain/fuzz --> overdrive pedal --> massive reverb. That order works really well for me.

@@EscapingAgharthabandofficial it is a SWR workingman's 4x10T. We honestly went for a rock n roll tone but was pretty great! I'm gonna try to dial it in more on my next session.
