University of Kansas Sports Science Club. Affiliated with the Department of HSES.
The Sports Science Club was conceived by Dr. Quincy Johnson, an Assistant Professor and the Assistant Director of the Jayhawk Athletic Laboratory in the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kansas. After advising and meeting with students in class, he wanted to create an opportunity for them to get involved and develop professionally. The club received approval to begin in the fall 2024 semester. The inaugural group consisted of 15 students, with additional interest expressed by more students throughout the semester.
