    In examples like this, I always wonder what real life problem you are trying to solve. The equation presented makes no sense in the real world. It is only a construct to test the memorization of the term PEMDAS. When equations are written ambiguously, that is a problem.

    here's the deception of it being divided,, 2 ÷ 2 = means two divided twice,, divide 2 once =1+1 now two cannot be divided again because there was only one (two) to divide and there's no second two to divide ! LOL doesn't make sense to me either,, either way,, it's all in your head stop thinking !

    I just use the calculator,, clear to many variables for equations that are just so misleading,, makes no sense,, just do math without all the deceptions they have installed in math equations

    Fun math fact, but the square of one number to the next is just the number and the next added to it's square. 10²=100 11²=121 (100 +10 +11) 12²=144 (121 + 11 +12) So 199²=200² -200 -199, so the difference is just them adding themselves into the other.

    Solve 7 + 7 divided by 7 x 7 Note there are no brackets to separate the numbers only the division sign which signifies this equation is an algebraic equation for a fraction. 7 +7 = 14 which is the numerator in this fraction divide by 7 x 7 = 49 which is the denominator in this fraction Answer is 14 / 49 = 2/7. or where A = 7 7 + 7 = A +A = 2A and 7 x 7 = A x A = 2A divided by A x A = 2/A = 2/7 Algebra is fun when you know what it is. OR if you have used brackets in your equation which this equation does NOT have. 7 + (7/7) x 7 = 7 + 1 x 7 = 7 + 7 = 14 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪💪💪💪💪💪💪

    You really over complicated it! I did it in my head…2 / 2 = 1, 1 / 2 = 1/2, 1/2 / 2 = 1/4. Why introduce the multiplication? BTW, it’s maths!

    They allow TI-83 calculators during the math test, so plug it into your calculator and you’ll get a decimal answer. Then press MATH then FRA (Fraction) and it will give you 1/4. 😂

    I answered it before I even started the video by basically doing it the way you did it except I did it in my head. The only difference is that I divided 1/2 by 2. Since dividing by 2 is, essentially, obtaining half of a number, 1/2 of 1/2 is 1/4.

    Unusual problem in that If I use PEMDAS I get 14, but if I just go left to right, I also get 14. Thus, the problem does not really determine whether a person understands PEMDAS. OOPS.

    PEMDAS or whatever they call it in other countries is total BS. It's like first creating a non existing problem in order to provide a "solution" that's unnecessary in the first place.     I like replacing "÷a" with "×(1/a)" So... 2÷2÷2÷2 Is 2×(1/2)×(1/2)×(1/2) = 2×(1/2)^3 = 2×(1/8) = 2/8 = 1/4 This technique is helpful with a÷b÷c÷d where left to right ordering is critical because it becomes a×(1/b)×(1/c)×(1/d) which IS same as a×(1/d)×(1/c)×(1/b) Check it out... I.E. 10÷2÷5÷3 =10×(1/2)×(1/5)×(1/3) =10×(1/30) =1/3 And, alternately =10×(1/3)×(1/5)×(1/2) =10×(1/30) =1/3

    At the very least, you omitted to specify from the beginning that both "a" and "b" must be positive integer numbers and that none of them can be zero. Instead, you slipped in those assumptions while you were moving along; which is not how math works. If this was indeed part of an SAT the way you presented it, I feel sorry for those kids; and the teachers who included it in the test in this format must be re-educated.

    Stop it with the clickbait titles already. The only thing marginally tricky about the first problem is dealing with imaginary numbers to get two of the solutions. i is dealt with in elementary algebra. A good high school Algebra student solves this in about 30 seconds on the SAT. A genius might not even write down the intermediary steps and go straight to the solutions upon seeing the question. Don't be an asshat and get all clickbaity. Produce good content and you'll get the views.
