Scott y yo solíamos tocar estos dos riffs cuando estábamos en Article Unmake. Nunca se convirtió en una canción, pero fue divertido improvisar con él porque estaba dispuesto a todo. ¡A él le encantaba la batería más de lo que a mí me gusta la guitarra!

¡Gracias! La batería es de la misma caja de ritmos antigua que usé para la mayoría de mis grabaciones preliminares. Era la caja de ritmos BOSS DR-202 Dr. Groove que salió al mercado en 2000.

I am pointed out some shots of me at the Pistol Shot Gypsy show video for "Teainwreck" where I was close to front row and a "covert" pic of me and him talking REALLY close at the New Wave Cafe about meeting up "later". You seriously remember me? Our car trip to the "dry county" of Orange County where we drank like a case of Red Bull on the way down with our young friend "Tit's " in the back seat!!?? Hahaaaa! I hope you're well and wish you nothing but peace and love. BTW- Shane has been keeping in touch with me a lot lately and Kenny has from time to time. Shane is still the nicest guy ever and has an 11 year old daughter! Ian and Amanda's daughter is 21 already!!! Crazy, right?! She and I have had such a great relationship and bond over the past 11 years and as Josh Floriano said when I showed up to the Met with Ian for one of Bad Marriage's first shows- he said "it's about F***ing that you two were/are PUBLICALLY together and don't have to sneak around. Es un borrador en este momento, necesito escribirlo más claro. Además, faltan algunas de las armonías porque no seguí las técnicas convencionales. Entenderás a qué me refiero cuando veas la tablatura. Transcribí el segundo estribillo, pero no el primero porque nunca me gustó ese y nunca lo tocamos en vivo de esa manera. @@m1ztertimn560 I haven't been able to burn CD's from my computer for the last couple years. I don't know why it now only allows me to rip CD's to my media library and not burn them. For some reason I'm still able to burn home recordings to disc from my Cakewalk program but nothing else. I suck with computers and I need a new one. It won't be supported next year. MDVLmedia was the vocalist of Pray4Nothing and he left a reply on my "The Farthest Voyager" video. Maybe you can hit him up? He's the one who gave me the CD when we were in Article Unmake together.

Gracias. Aguanta ahí para 'Animus'. Eventualmente lo terminaré. Estuve de vacaciones durante 2 semanas y ahora estoy lidiando con alergias. Esas malditas armonías son difíciles de escuchar y no puedo aislar las pistas porque era grabado en un programa obsoleto. Se hará incluso si algunas partes están un poco apagadas. Quizás sea un regalo de Navidad, ja.

Gracias Daved. Trabajé en la tablatura de Animus el fin de semana pasado y haré algo más esta noche y mañana. ¡Algunas de mis canciones tienen tantas partes! ¡Algunas de las armonías son 3 o 4 guitarras a la vez!

@@mufasajosh es verdad con audiculares se escuchan varias guitarras...pero con la guitarra rítmica y la guitarra principal me alcanzan...hazlo tranquilo y sin apuros amigo...

La afinación es la gota La en una cuerda de siete. A veces simplemente lo conectaba y tocaba, por lo que la afinación podía estar un poco apagada. Grabé mucho en aquel entonces, así que experimentaba con diferentes tiempos e ideas, incluso cosas que nunca usaría en una banda. El riff de 1:05 - 1:21 es el único que me gusta de esta idea de canción. Grabé esto a través de un amplificador de práctica Crate en casa. Estaba jugando en Article Unmake en ese momento, así que mi pila de Marshall estaba en nuestro espacio de práctica. La guitarra no tiene tantos graves por eso.

Le agrego mas segundos 1:05 a 1:35 es lo mejor del sonido y secuencias...sospechaba de tu guitarra de 7cuerdas,es la guitarra negra que aparece en algunas fotografías ...verdad?yo solo tengo una guitarra básica de 6 por la cual la afino muy bajo para sacarle un sonido más pesado pero tiene muchas limitaciones....

@@Daved2.0 Utilicé una Ibanez de 7 cuerdas en Article Unmake y una Les Paul de 6 cuerdas en Soulshed. Compré la Ibanez a finales de los 90 y todavía la uso hoy para todas mis grabaciones caseras. Incluso mis 2 canciones más recientes fueron grabadas usando la misma Ibanez ("Apathicum" / "Winter's Coming"). Tal vez suene como una afinación más baja a veces porque hay algunos acordes en esta canción en los que bemolé la quinta del acorde de potencia o afilé la nota fundamental del acorde de potencia. Entonces, en una tablatura de 7 cuerdas, el acorde sería un 1 en el siete (A#) y abierto en la sexta cuerda (E), o tal vez el siete abierto (A) y un 1 en la sexta cuerda (F). O posiblemente la posición de mi mano estaba más abajo en el diapasón. Entiendo tu frustración al intentar afinar una seis cuerdas como si fuera una siete. La sexta cuerda se vuelve muy inestable.

@@Daved2.0 Podría volver a aprender Animus en algún momento en el futuro. Pero ya ni siquiera tengo un amplificador. Lo conecto directamente a un procesador "Line 6 POD" de 20 años para grabar mientras uso auriculares. Podría descubrir la tablatura, escribirla y ponerla en un vídeo temporal para que puedas aprender la canción. Siempre he incluido las notas y silencios en mi tablatura para poder leerla años después sin recordar la canción. ¿Eso ayuda?

Dejé la banda en 2002 y se separaron varios meses después. Todos pasamos a tocar en otras bandas, excepto Nelson (bajista). Unos años después de Soulshed toqué en Makai con el mismo vocalista de Soulshed. Luego, en 2008, el baterista de Makai y yo comenzamos Article Unmake. La banda se separó en 2010 y nunca más comencé ni me uní a otra banda después de eso. Ahora sólo grabo música en casa usando un programa barato.

I programmed an old Boss DR-202 Dr. Groove drum machine. It probably could have sounded better if I took the time to fiddle around with it. I just wanted to record as many song ideas as fast as possible so that I could move on to the next one.

@@mufasajosh en realidad leo los subtítulos que están en inglés y un poco entiendo...lo básico,pero no los puedo traducir no me da la opción. En cambio en los comentarios UA-cam te dan la opción de traducir lo escrito en otro idioma al idioma local

@@Daved2.0 Ah, OK. Parece mucho trabajo sólo con ver un vídeo. Tampoco creo que UA-cam me permita escribir subtítulos en 2 idiomas diferentes. En la descripción del vídeo permite hacer clic en "Transcripción" y aparecen los subtítulos en inglés con los minutos y segundos. Por supuesto, entonces tendrías que copiar y pegar los subtítulos en Google Translate u otra aplicación. Con toda la tecnología, creo que podrían hacerlo más fácil, pero supongo que no. Bueno, cuando suba el vídeo espero que lo podáis disfrutar!

I remember it was a weird tuning. We used six string guitars in Drop C# tuning with changes made to the high strings. I don't exactly remember what the 2nd and 3rd strings were tuned at but I remember the low sixth string being C#, 5th string G#, 4th string C# and the 1st string was also dropped to C#. The 2nd and 3rd strings were tuned in a way so that all 6 strings could be one open chord when strummed. I think I remember 2 of the strings being the same note and octave! It was definitely dumbed down and different. When I joined they were using this different tuning so the new songs I wrote were also in that tuning. Sorry I can't give you a straight answer. I was used to standard tuning and drop A tuning using a seven string so it was a slight change for me.
