I am a new diver, i got 20 dives so far, but I wanted to get a diving watch, there are $2000 watches 😂 and i was trying to figure out with these new cheap sport watches with diving modes but seems this suunto lives till the scrap😂, thanks for the videos!!

Hi mate. Do you know how to change PO2 to 1.4 for air? It defaults to 1.6
@@JsDiveDrone I’m not aware of a setting for that. Diving air, you won’t hit 1.4 ata until about 56m / 183 ft, which the vast majority of modern divers consider far too deep to dive air anyway due to gas density and narcosis issues. So I’d be surprised if Suunto had any motivation to develop such a feature.

How do you feel Subsurface compares to Suunto DM5? I'm trying to decide which one to use, I'm new to analyzing my dives.
I've honestly never used Suunto's DM5 software. I suggest Subsurface to my students because it is compatible with just about any dive computer on the market. If my student trains with a Suunto Zoop Novo but then goes off and buys a different brand, they can still download their dives the same way. Also makes your divelog "future-proof" if you invest in a different manufacturer one day. My first computer was an Aeris and I started using Subsurface with that. Now I personally dive a Shearwater and we use Suuntos in our program, and all work the same with Subsurface. Not sure if there are any features DM5 has that Subsurface doesn't. I haven't looked into it much.

does it automatically go into dive mode when it senses water?
Yes. At least that’s the default setting. I think there MAY be a way to turn off that feature if you want to.
