    Are there any essential oils that should not be used or are toxic to horses?

    • @AndreaEggert
      @AndreaEggert 4 місяці тому

      There are "hot" oils that need to be diluted before applying to skin, as they're more likely to cause topical reactions (Cassia, Cinnamon, Oregano, Clove and Thyme). There are some oils that are to be avoided during pregnancy for mares. If you need that list, let me know! You also want to be sure to only use certified pure tested grade oils :)

    Can clove oil be added to water for horses to drink? How much clover can a horse have?

    • @AndreaEggert
      @AndreaEggert 5 місяців тому

      You technically could, but I personally would go with putting a few drops on a treat if you're wanting them to ingest the Clove oil (again, be sure you are ONLY using CPTG (certified, pure tested grade oils) especially if ingesting! The amount is 1-2 drops per 500 lbs of weight. If you do go the route of adding to their water, be sure that they also have a bucket of water with no Clove oil in it so they can choose.

    If the horse is resistant to these stretches, would you just do a more shallow version until they are able to release and stretch deeper? (many days and sessions later, of course.)

    • @AndreaEggert
      @AndreaEggert Рік тому

      yes, if they're tight and not used to stretching out, that is what I would recommend! Granted, if there is a medical reason that they can't be stretching, you would want to ask your vet before beginning a stretch routine. Hope this helps!
