Wow, thank you for posting this! I’ve been looking for this album forever, I remember borrowing it frequently from the library when I was a kid. My favorite was the calypso song about the age of the dinosaurs that sounds like Neil Diamond about 16 minutes in. I used to play that repeatedly.

Thanks for posting. My mom came to my class in second grade dressed as a witch. I didn’t even recognize her. She passed out butterscotch cookies that she dyed green and told everyone they were made with toad parts. We listened to this album and played pass the witches broomstick. This makes me so happy.

I will never forget the music teacher who played this all for us in the late 80s/early 90s at Woodside Elementary in Peekskill, New York- she would play classical music like Greig's "In the hall of the Mountain King" and Tchaikovsy's "Winter Reveries" and tell these amazing stories set to the music with thrilling conclusions that had us young'uns on the edge of our seat; she had such a wonderful gift. She would play this in October and I never knew the source/name of this record until today. Ms. Bangella, if you're out there; thank you for imparting such unforgettable memories!

Disney did a re-issue of this in 1973, and it caught on like wildfire (this and Ghostly Sounds, released by Peter Pan Records) with us '70's "kiddies." Still have both copies

This was Halloween! Many retro memories from the 70’s and 80’s.

I like the sound of Jose's voice as he reads these Halloween favorites. My favorites from this collection are: Wobble the Witch Cat (0:00 to 7:01), Georgie (7:01 to 10:31), Georgie's Halloween (10:35 to 15:12), and... Pumpkin Moonshine (at 19:40)

I have been SEARCHING AND SEARCHING for this record but I couldn't remember the name of most of the songs, nor the gentleman who told the stories. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! This has literally made my day. This will be going into my favorites list so I can hear it again and again.

Cameras? That would'a been weird in 1985 and a bit after, although nowadays you got those cameras connected to peoples doorbells and stuff. Oh! And don't forget to play DISCO music on Halloween, dunno why that was in this show in the 80s? Funny. (Fly by Night would work for Halloween, though.) Thank you, Coronet!
