Endemic Birds of South Western Australia
Переглядів 2 тис.Рік тому
Not surprisingly Western Australia, being so remote, has 18 endemic species of birds. In this video I highlight 16 endemic species, it being considered bad practice to interact in any way with the critically endangered Western Ground Parrot and the Noisy Scrub Bird was heard, briefly seen but not imaged.

Fairy-Wrens, Grasswrens and Emu Wrens are some of Australia's most beautiful birds. Colourful, cheeky and very curious they are very much loved and sought after and often can only be found in some of the more remote parts of Australia. This is their video

I love the corellas, they're such clowns. I have a school oval behind my house & when I walk past I often see them rolling around on the grass wrestling like kids! Or I've seen them hanging by one foot swinging from the wires, their so entertaining!
Very nice video... thank you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Crei que apareceria el gran pinzon gould

Shocked that in this day and age that they are called 'fairy' wrens. Surely somebody will get on this bandwagon.

That was lovely! Robins are a favourite bird of mine (particularly the Pink Robin... still trying to get a decent photo of them!!). Great footage!! Great to find another Australian person making videos about our beautiful birds & wildlife!
Wonderful photography. Always had wrens in our yard growing up in Midwest US. Think it was Carolina wren. Sweet and cheerful unless you got too close to their babies.
So small they are so pretty. Thank you for these nice pictures.
Sad to hear how many are hurt my dear friend Brian because humans are not being careful.😢 Beautiful capture of this Kangaroo 🦘 checking it’s left and right and safety before crossing , nature is surly amazing. Enjoyed observing very much Irene. 🦘💯🥰
Never realized Australia had so many different Robin varieties amazingly beautiful to see Brian my lovely friend. Thanks so much for sharing these delightful feathered friends Irene. 😍🥰👌

This birds are so beautiful I’ve just recently found a yellow wattlebird in my back yard with its legs really injured by something and are currently looking after it.

In what month of year is the best time to see these wonderful birds in Tasmania?
Hi! we went at end of February/March and were able to see and video the endemics but you will have to go to Bruny Island for some of the less common species.
@@BrianLizMcCauley thank you! Oh, we are coming to Tasmania around June and July. Any endemic species that can be seen year round there in the Royal Botanical Garden?
@@ahpong Hi Ahpong: Go to this website for a full list of all birds seen in the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart- ebird.org/hotspot/L921573 I personally have not been there in June and July but I presume these birds may be seen all year round in this environment
Great collection!
Thanks Victor. Some of these birds were very difficult to get as they are often exclusive to very remote and difficult to access areas
@@BrianLizMcCauley I know. I stillness some of them on my birds list.
@@BrianLizMcCauley *still miss some of them
WOW! what great patience to find these elusive Grass and Emu Wrens....my hat goes off to you Brian and the work in puting it all together Liz. Well done! ❤❤❤
