Exploring Art & Sports in Mexico City | Frida Kahlo Museum & Lucha Libre Experience
In this vlog we start the day off by visiting Frida Kahlo's home, La Casa Azul (the Blue House), which is now a museum housing various art pieces by both Frida and her husband, Diego Rivera.
From there we walked over to Coyoacán Market (Mercado de Coyoacán) for some souvenirs and snacks before finding more local art at the Allende Garden (Jardín del Arte Allende). After lunch in the area we headed back home to relax for a little before making our way to the next event of the day.
That evening we got to experience Lucha Libre wrestling at Arena México- something I would highly recommend that is quintessentially Mexico! So much excitement both with the wrestlers (luchadores) and even the crowd. The whole ambiance is unlike any other!
We wrapped up the night at a speakeasy bar called Hanky Panky, which also happens to be #22 in the World's 50 Best Bars rankings.

Golf Vlog - Farewell Marina Bay Golf Course: Final Round before it closes

Sadly Marina Bay Golf Course in Singapore closed at the end of June 2024. This has always been the plan since the development of the course itself. As this course was built on reclaimed land, the soil needed time to settle before it could be used to construct buildings on the land. With limited land in Singapore and the course being on prime real estate, residential buildings take precedent ove...

One of the popular spots to visit in Bogotá would be Monserrate. This is a sacred location that serves as a religious pilgrimage trail dating back to the 1600's. You can walk up the mountain, take a cable car, or the funicular (a rope train system on a track that holds a larger number of people than a cable car). We took the funicular up the mountain and enjoyed the amazing views of the city fr...

Hi!Chantal, long time no see. Do you remember me?
Hi Curley!! It’s good to hear from you! Where are you currently at?!
I’m currently living in Yunnan, China
@@Curley217 hope you're enjoying it there! And hope to see you back in Singapore soon
@@ChiusTravel Believe me, we will definitely meet next year!
Thank you
hope you liked ushuaia! greetings from rio grande, the other city in tierra del fuego 😁😁
Thanks we loved Ushuaia. Although a bit cold 😅 how do you like living in Rio Grande?!
@@ChiusTravel it's mostly the same, less snow more wind but im used to it. Whole family come in the 60s/70s when it was even more remote so now with 1 or 2 holidays i have enough heat for the whole year 😁😁😁
that was a cool tour, great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
My queer ass was like KYLIE MINOGUE IN MY CDMX!! Nevertheless, great vlog!

I bet those tacos 5x60 pesos were way better than the crap you ate at quintonil
@@arturoterriquezramos2816 we won’t lie. The tacos were very very good! Quintonil was extremely expensive, but is a once in a lifetime experience to celebrate a world renowned Mexican chef and his team. But the tacos and street food we’ll be back to have for sure!
Too bad you just go to fancy, expensive areas. That's not the real CDMX
@@arturoterriquezramos2816 this is just our first couple of days. We have a couple more vlogs highlighting other places we visited. But do you have any suggestions on where we should visit in case we didn’t go?
Que bueno que te gusto, vuelve a mexico 🇲🇽
The best of fast foods or junk food is the Argentine McDonald's, "MOSTAZA"
Yes! We did visit Mostaza when we visited La Casa Rosada in another UA-cam vlog 😊
The boy of Asian origin talks about mosquitoes as in his origin, those countries have had malaria and other diseases that mosquitoes cause, he should be accustomed to living with mosquitoes because of his DNA.
We live in Singapore which is a tropical climate, so yes, we do have mosquitoes here. But thankfully the government does a good job to minimize how many mosquitoes there are. But we do have mosquitoes in Singapore that carry dengue virus 😢so need to be careful!
my visa card worked for loading the suica on aplle wallet

It can get pretty hot during that time. And supposedly rainy period. But you’ll still have fun!!

Hi . Can I add money to pasmo card in Aplle wallet before coming to japan ? I tried - but I couldn’t , that’s why I’n asking Weronika
You should be able to. But sometimes there are issue with Visa. If you have Mastercard or American Express, I would try them.

What is transcendent about the Recoleta Cemetery isn't the presence of historical ppl but its architecture and the sculptural value of its vaults. Just in Paris (Père-Lachaise) u can you find something similar. Recoleta Cemetery is an open-air "museum"... ua-cam.com/video/hks6JgIsBBI/v-deo.html

Just curious. When I hear Harry say the names of places and restaurants you are visiting, he sounds like he can speak Spanish. Do you both speak Spanish? Enjoy watching your travels.
Harry does speak some Spanish! He’s not fluent, but can understand quite a bit and speak a little. Chantal is fluent though! As she is Mexican :)
Fragata Sarmiento! just 40cents.! and you can see inside this ship! even the machinery!
Yes very inexpensive to go on! Is it worth checking out the ship?!
@@ChiusTravel Sure, and Corbeta Uruguay in the next dock too.
Hi, 10000 pesos is de biggest Bill right now in Argentina and the 20000 pesos bill is coming soon and you can also pay in US dollars in many places
wow that is great news! 1,000 was not big enough, so it's good to hear the 10,000 pesos bill is now printed and that there will be a 20,000 bill!
As long as you have a McDonald’s near by to fill in the rest… you can pay $280 for a bit of meat 🥩 🤣😂🤣, so you can show off you went to Don Julio - make sure you get a Big Mac later 🤣🤣
You’re not wrong- but we preemptively had McDonalds first 😅 (unintentionally). People can definitely go and get full off of Don Julio, but 💰💰💰. So for us, we wanted to be able to try their steak and save some money for other things!
I visited an argentinian steak house in San Diego, it was also noisy and had huge steaks and great vino too
Must be an Argentina steakhouse thing to be noisy but have great steak and wine 😂
Would have been nice to see some of the views in the train since the title is train ride…
Sorry for not having more shots on the ride :( we tried to make this more of an informational vlog for anyone who is looking to take the KTX train and understanding the process
Ecoparque was the old Buenos Aires Zoo that existed since 1888 and was "closed" in 2016, it has more than 40 historic buildings inside that represent the architecture of the countries the species were from. It stopped bringing new animals, moved the animals that were able to move to sanctuaries, and only left the animals that were too old to move or that the move make them too stress, to live in the park until they die. Its transitioning to an open park with no dangerous animals that can walk wherever they want and even between the people.
Oh wow that is so cool!!! Really great information. Thanks for sharing!
I heard you mention using credit cards. Is that acceptable at most places all over Argentina? Is the rate off by much? We will be traveling for a month there later in the year.
Yup! We briefly mentioned it in a previous vlog while in Ushuaia Argentina. We found ourselves pretty much 90% of the time using credit card. Visa was fairly reasonable compared to the “dolar blue” rate (essentially black market or street value that Argentinians go by vs federal rate). BUT the market rate fluctuates quite a bit so I would use an app called Dolar Blue Hoy. It gives you a reference on what the federal, dolar blue and MEP rate are. MEP typically sits in between the two values of federal and dolar blue and Visa transactions are pretty close to it.
Yes you can use credit cards almost everywhere. And the exchange rate is almost the same as the "black market" so there is no need to change USD to Pesos in the black market like before. You still get 15~20% more value of your cash if you still do the USD to Pesos exchange in the "black market" (dolar blue). Search about this, there is multiple videos that talk about the blue rate, but if you gonna do this remember they ONLY ACCEPT, the newest 100$ USD bills, the ones with blue stripe, WITH ZERO DAMAGE. If you have old or slightly damaged bills they are going to offer WAY less money and is probably better to use credit card. Remember also that having to carry a lot of bills is a con. The most common bill here is $1000 that is equal to almost 1usd, so imaginate the amount of cash you need to carry everyday.
@Sh4rkill3r nailed it with all the info there!! Thanks for sharing! 100% agree carrying all that cash is a big con of not using card. And yes, you need to make sure to have super fresh, clean $100 USD bills or they may not exchange it.
It is widely. Greeting 😊
try to know the only Mc Donalds KOSHER after the one in Israel, it's in Abasto shopping.
😮
@@ChiusTravel I saw in your video that you visit the Mc Donalds of the places you visit. In Buenos Aires there is the only kosher one after the one in Israel.
@@BUENOSAIRES4K does it taste any different? Are there different items on menu? So interesting!
@@ChiusTravel Kosher means "pure" according to Jewish standards, all foods are certified according to a rabbi (Jewish priest), which enables or not, their consumption, according to Jewish customs. In this Mc Donalds can enter both Jews and non-Jews.
Thank you! That’s a funny coincidence! Those hills are no joke, right?! 😂
There's also a single couple of king penguins who have been nesting (unsuccessfully) on Martillo Island for a few years now.

thankyou for the informative video! just wondering how is the weather in early july? isit raining often?
Weather is quite hot and humid during that time. It’s also a bit wetter so there’s more likely chances of rain in July
This motor scooter tour is an awesome idea!
Best way to get around the city!
I was recommended to stay at the same hotel and area, and that is how I found this video! This vlog is super resourceful and thank you very much for sharing. Can you share your thoughts on sleeping and A/C?
That’s great! It’s a good hotel! We definitely keep AC on when sleeping. We don’t like hotels super cold though but need air to be running otherwise it gets very stuffy since it’s a humid city.
@@ChiusTravel Thank you so much! Sorry I should have clarified. I meant sleeping noise level in the hotel and if the A/C is good in there. Most likely I'll be booking.

Did it charge you a transaction fee as a cash advance on your credit card? And which credit do you use for the recommendation? Thanks.
Nope doesn’t charge a fee. Whatever you pay is the amount loaded to the card. We used an Amex Platinum in this case.
