Thank you so much. Yes it’ll stay but you’ll have to put stuffing in it and close is with a round crochet panel of the size of the rim of the container. Just leave half or one centimetre space on top and close it off with the panel, and then you can place your coasters on top as shown.

But it might get pressed by coasters weight. Or you can cut a cardboard or some kind of stiffner and insert in the pot to maintain the shape

You’re correct. Your project will start to curve into a bowl shape. You can use this technique for the straight projects. 🙂 You’re so kind, but I’m no expert. I’m just passionate about crochet and like to teach other’s this wonderful craft

I don’t know every time I count the stitches I go back the same way as I came when I can very well start the new row there itself. As if world will turn upside down if I don’t go back how I came.
