Stuff I do in my life. Not very exciting, but definitely a good way to pass by time at least for a little while.

So it is that the review of the 12 volume history of middle earth had come to an end. This is vol XII entitled "the people's of Middle-Earth". I hope that of all the few people that have watched these reviews have learned something from what was spoken and shown. I'm sorry not the best speaker, just a huge fan of the Tolkien Legendarium. I also hope you all have enjoyed listening as much as I h...

Sword of the Witchking and the Ringwraiths
The book of lost tales 1 and 2 is awesome it's like the Silmarillion but written as a novel like lord of the rings. It's underrated.
I was about to buy it, but a friend said that it was all in like, poetry, is that right?
This was awesome awesome!
I have the Silmarillion and bough the Fall of Gondolin and Beren and Luthien standalone books, I wonder if buying this book is just repeated material I already have?
@99945Apophis hello there... yes... I have been falling into some of Tolkien alliterative verses and they are not bad, Beren and Luthien has quite some verses there and I still haven't finished, alliterative verses are not for everyone for sure.... I think in this regard. Thank you.
So what's the difference between this and Silmarillion? If all chapters are the same??
*+1* ❤👍
Of all the books in your shelf, I’m most interested in your last one; “Atlas of Middle Earth”. May I have the ISBN of your book pls? Thanks in advance.
Great review! I've just gotten into lotr this year. Read The Hobbit, fotr, ttt and just started rotk. Ofc, planning to read the other books and was also thinking of getting these volumes. So, this vid was a great help in deciding whether to buy the box set especially since its pricey!
I’m a bit late to these reviews, but I really enjoyed them, I was wondering if these hardcover editions have a sewn binding? Thanks
Lovely swords!
Do these have a sewn binding? I'm having a hard time finding that info.
I've been looking all over as well. Did you ever find an answer?
@@SpamSpade14 I don't think I did.
Where did you get that bolt handle for it? About to set mine up for coyote hunting with the archangel stock.
One of the only times Ive seen a proper book review for a box set. Thank you for making this. :)
y en español cuando? ;(, minotauro ponte las pilas, that is a great edition, i would like in Spanish
I remember reding this book when I was 11 years old, and loving it.
I just got LOTR standard HB from Amazon and guess what, the box is dinked on the corners too!
This was such a basic explanation. Thank you very much for giving us a summary of contents and what the book consist of.
Those drawings are really interesting.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Where u get Legolas sword?
This is great. I totally love how excited you get as you describe each tale as you are going through the table of contents. Generally you say how much you love this story and the add a word about how depressing or filled with despair it is. I think you should undertake to make audio recordings of, at least, this book! Best wishes. JTI
Thanks! I'm reading them and it's always nice to hear others talk about the books 💙
Awesome review
Its 117 on Amazon rn with one day delivery
Just ordered the revised Atlas of Middle Earth last night, this is my next purchase along with The Great Tales of Middle Earth.. Can't wait, thank you for making this
I'm about to get these I'm the 3 volume set that's all black.. I'm glad i found this lol
Witchking sword is better and more stable blade but I guess you prefer the one you paid more money for LoL.. They are both back in production and will be available at retail price.
Just... don't drop it.
How many are there?
I only recently just learned that this was finally made. Though I’ve sold off a handful over the years, I used to own one of almost every LOTR replica sword made. The only 2 I was missing (of those that were actually made) were Anduril and the Uruk Hai Scimitar. I still have most of them, but the Rohan swords are my favorite. I can’t wait to add this to the set.
Wooow! Where did u got al those books!!??? You are a huge fan of Tolkien…I love you!
It is call script. We do not do that anymore and it will be a lost language LOLOL Maybe shorthand as well.
Excellent video!
New reader here. I got a question, so all these books are included in the deluxe 3 parts history of middle earth black cover books?
Yes, they are.
Some twenty minutes ago I was not sure of what version of HoME I need to look for, and now... :-) So far, this is the best review I've ever seen. It answers all of my questions I've been spreading around in a form of comments under those videos, still none of them replied. Eh, probably people collect books not for reading but for putting them on their shelves :-) Thank you for your truly informative video. All the best!
Thanks so much! I’m glad the video was helpful
Overgrown letter opener.... what a snowflake!
Could you please post a open box video when you get the helmet?
Great review. I just ordered this and can’t wait to read it in its entirety.
want to make one of these swords, which one is better?
ringwraith sword is better
United cutlery is the best for lotr collection
Thank you Sir for providing this informative review; I am pondering on buying this set but I must admit I am reticent because of the all issues that have arisen due to inconsiderate postage 'handling'; it does look like a wonderful edition though, thanks again.
I took the plunge and ordered this yesterday following 'assurances' from the supplier - once again many thanks for such a useful review.
@@ronwatson7006 which supplier did you go with? I have found on a few occasions when ordering with Amazon that my middle Earth books have been damaged. Most of the time they only package it in a single book box with no extra protection.
@@jamiemurphy4682 Hi Jamie I eventually went with a UK local supplier on EBay they had the best price and like you I had concerns that Amazon did not always take the best care of books when packaging items up. I emailed the supplier first though and explained the importance of robust packaging for this item and they did a great job - no complaints at all. Ron
FYI Tolkien is pronounced TOLL-KEEN. Speaking of the good prof, 4:46 I think he would be appalled at bar codes on his (and his son's) books.
Yeah they really diminish the otherwise great look of the dust jacket.
What order do i read it
You can start from book 1 and go straight through until the last or you could begin with the last book and go backwards or read any one you want in any order. Overall, it’s kind of a chronological work of Tolkien’s writings from the earliest stages to the last in order. But in my opinion you don’t have to read them in order To get the full scope of things
How many of these are your favorite ones? *Yes* (sorry jk, they are all good)
how to order ?
Thank you! This video was insanely helpful. I just purchased the first five volumes in a box set! I'm looking forward to reading through these stories for the first time. Thank you!
I want the whole 12 book collection but don’t like these the big volumes because I feel like I’m gonna rip them. Do you like the five book box set? Was thinking about getting them instead. Do you see any drawbacks?
i've never read a book of middle earth but im really looking forward to it! Does the history of middle earth include also the storys of the movies?
This collection is the history of Tolkien's entire writings on Middle Earth. Rather than being a narrative this is more of a history of the process of forming the narrative and an exploration of the influences. If you want the stories that the movies are based on then you can buy boxed sets that include The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings.
It's like one year to read all this 5000 pages
Awesome collection dude. Just got the fighting knives I’m super excited. Keeping my eyes out for the scabbards. Hard to come by now
