It doesn't affect your vision for 2 reasons: - The light is positioned in your peripheral vision and it doesn't shine directly in your eye (think at the difference at staring at the sun instead of just being outside - There is a light sensor that adjusts the brightness to the ambient conditions. We've been testing it for years and we only noticed not seeing the light well enough if it's too far from the eye, never the light being too strong and disruptive.
