I have noticed one of my local op shops price on par with ebay. It's supposed to be stores for better opportunities. The pricing is unfair.

Nightmare dolls sell well. You need to include a story about the doll's background. Give it a name and how to take care of it. Maybe a little history of the doll's travels. I hate the neatening up of these stores.

I do some volunteer work and I’ve had fellow workers tell me they are keeping an eye on certain people who could be stealing stock, people who’ve come into the store, these people are obviously sleeping rough and living in difficult circumstances, generally doing things tough in life, and to hear that it makes me so mad and I feel so disappointed how they can look down on others like that, it’s horrible. I used to volunteer 1 day a week for Vinnies & drove a truck for them out the Altona distribution centre, this was about 16 years ago & back then they didn't electronics or electrical devices / appliances . They said it was because they could be fire hazards or electrocute someone , I found that weird then & thought a faulty appliance would just trip the safety switch or blow a fuse before starting a fire & we could make sure they work & not charge much before a blanket no sale throw away policy surely . I noticed they sell them now .

Hey, trying to help here not be a troll. I'm not 100% sure on this but that postage price you're seeing is to your address (to Australia). If this was purchased by someone in the country of the item's location (USA in this case) they wouldn't pay that postage and we wouldn't see what they did pay for postage. EBay would still show it as a sold item to us as they offered international post. As I said...Not completely sure but I think that's how it goes. 😁👍

I have found the most odd thing while flipping. I brought a bag of dvds $5 and saw these 2 box sets of k pop dvds. I thought I'll take a gamble 1 day and 65 each! Had no clue. it just caught my eye

Two to three years ago the western suburbs was great for sourcing. Since then the prices have gotten ridiculous and its pretty much all of the op shops. Fake soccer shirts can be priced at $35 on a bad day 😂 What's the Geelong scene like these days? Been a while since I've been there and keen to do a road trip soon

They’re shafting two ways - for the poor and for the reseller! I always feel like the staff object to resellers trying to make a living - they have no idea of the time spent sourcing and money spent to run a store because they get stock for free! They’ll be outpricing themselves soon. I just hope the money they get, often cash, actually does go to the charities they’re repenting!!
