Those trucks are notorious for not connecting that AUX wire to the stud at the fuse box (from factory). They also don't always connect the power wire for the brake controller either. Both wires are red and are pulled right up next the fuse box. Then zip tied to other wires. Just need to connect to the appropriate studs and and install the fuses as you showed.
That thing will be mangled within six months
I cant stand how far up their own ass forklift drivers are. Despite being the lowest paid individual within any company ive worked for.
i give it a week at best
Forklifts are literally just bumper cars for people who never grew out of the bumper car stage of life.
From an operators point of view, If I see a thing that’s designed to have pallets slammed into it I’m probably gonna slam pallets into it. I’m assuming this is some kind of storage area where pallets get slid in.
As a driver ... I fucking hate it when you guys put shit in the way it makes my job way harder.
We use 3/8" thick 3x4 flange angle amd anchor it with 1/2" redheads. Never had a problem other than constantly painting them (thank god that aint me)
make it a bumper with floating springs
My god that spring blew off of the plugs. That is also not how you use spring block repairs and that's the wrong block. You need the yellow block.
Why not just build two corners and put a large square 4” stock piece in the middle so their forks can actually go through
It’s just going to happen again. I’ve had the best luck using 1/2” or thicker steel for these types of things
That isn't going to last very long
Oh god the flashbacks
Yeah , industry standard Next design is to put the angel open side down to make it like a wedge Trust me it will work out great
tbh the warehouse I work at they put tons of this stuff everywhere and the forklifts have a shut off when they bump into stuff but you can bypass it by unplugging the forklift from battery then replugging it back in
Best believe imma hit ts cause im not trying to reverse
The only difference between a license to operate a forklift and a car is that youre getting paid on a forklift to drive
Filmed in Canada?
This was definitely filmed by a Canadian
The real question comes in to whether it was beneficial to have the sacrificial piece or the piece that's going to break more pallets. What is the money difference between the sacrificial and your more robust version if we're thinking in corporate terms? This is how this is evaluated
As the maintenance fabricator who makes stuff just like that can confirm, I use 1/4in angle and they still tear them up
It’s a 10,000 pound hammer if you’ve been around forklift drivers, you know it doesn’t matter how thick the Steel is they will bend it
Got fired from my maintenance job I had for a few years for over building everything. The next maintenance guy caught a few SA cases. They called me back and I didn’t take the job. I miss that job tho
The amount of things I have to fix because of forklift drivers is crazy. Im a refrigeration tech and I work at a refrigerated warehouse and every time they get a new guy I’m there every couple days fixing a drain they somehow broke because they ran into the wall and broke the drain on the other side of it; or they lifted a pallet too high and damaged the drain pan and now they are complaining that water is dripping on them. Or they somehow hit the evaporator so hard that only half of it is now connected to the ceiling and they’ll be lucky if it isn’t somehow leaking refrigerant.
Oh yeah. That's 100% setting off the shock sensor when you run into that. I'm lockout/tagout certified. 💪🏽😂
ive literally never hit something in a forklift lol i dont get it
Constantly fixing freezer doors after being hit by forklifts
I love how the whole comment section is just shitting on forklift drivers
Trash 😂
Forklift drivers tend to feel their way around instead of looking where they are going
Not enough at all lol
Whiz quiz the operators 🤷♂️
The battery change station at my distribution center has a bar judt like that, im thinkin we autta take after this idea😂, shit looks like a bag tie atp
We put in yellow lines for the front of the pallet. On the line golden easier to see then the back. Keep the back plate for bumping up the next pallet not sliding forward.
probably?
We use 5x5 steel tubing. Works very well
Best place to drive a forklift is a small business where they have no policies in place for how you drive
Not Oshawa approved
Don’t fuck up the palletizer while you’re at it lol no crashing into it
even that one looked too small
Reminds me of Tyson distribution center
Looks like an OSHA trip hazard shit like this is why you have to wear steel toe boots
It's not the forklifts that are the problem. It's the drivers.
Is there good money in fork lift driving? I whip a hyster at my job with 20ft boom clamp. Stacking pallets be easy money.
Our maintenance guy would have done it better! Kidding
Don't put a rubber bumper on there, heaven forbid you do something to protect it
Ur 1 octave off being Kermit I hope you know
Forklift drivers are the worst. Can’t wait till ur all replaced by robots just like the dock workers 😊
Too small. Replace w/ 12in channel Anchor w/ 5 - 3/4 Hilti
