I went to a CRAZY NEW DERBY in US SOCCER! (El Clamico)
In the summer of 2024, I went to The Route 6 Derby, AKA “El Clamico”, which is the newest and craziest derby in US Soccer! The derby is between USL Championship (second division) clubs Rhode Island FC and Hartford Athletic. The match itself was exciting, but the highlight is the passion from the fans!

Hartford fans setting off fireworks is crazy lol. Love to see some animosity in the USL though. We dont need to be hooligans fighting pre match but little bit of trash talk & bad blood never hurt anyone. Go riverhounds !

I enjoyed seeing decent atmosphere, only couple points from European view tho, I really hate drums at games, and shaking of Tifo made hard to read but overall smashing great to see America improving
@@adammorton080 thanks for the support! It’s so interesting to hear the side from a European view! Can’t wait to get to an English derby someday! As for the drums, I personally find US soccer brings a unique combo of South/Central American football along with influence from Europe and French Canadians, which makes an awesome atmosphere. Feeling the live rhythm of supporters and La Banda influence the games intensity is a pretty amazing thing to witness 🙌🙌
@@DribbleTrips i think you are right drums work in certain situations and i agree the south American teams really make them work, i am an fc united fan, non league breakaway from man u, always be welcome here, we had a game against austria salzburg few years back can see videos on here boss day, really hope us soccer can grow and develop a strong pro/rel system

normally every pre season there is a local rivalry exeter city v Tourquay united but a better one witch could happen next season it exeter city v plymouth argyle in England 👍

Such a dope atmosphere. I’m a Phoenix Rising season ticket holder and it’s unfortunate that the next closest clubs are still 400-600 miles away. Would be awesome to have that type of rivalry here! Great video dude.
I was there and it was an amazing atmosphere. We brought the fight to Hartford. I got to meet Nateskie and a couple of the other hardcore fans. I’ve got an old college friend named David who’s an old New York Cosmos 2.0 fan and he’s missed going to soccer games since they folded a few years ago. I’m gonna bring him to both derbies next year. He is extremely passionate and he brought that passion to La Barra at home against the Rowdies a few weeks ago and cried because he was so happy to be back in a soccer supporters section.
