Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Craft Beer in Korea
Our First Gold Beer Award
We won our first gold medal beer award! I also reflect on the balance between hard work and efficiency, and how finding a flow state in both brewing and jiu-jitsu has helped me improve my process.

Awesome you guys are getting guys like Degle over there. I've been to a few of his seminars in the US. Been following the brew news on IG, too. Awesome to see the progress.
Great to see your uploads again! Robert's a great guy I attended one of his seminars last year really enjoyed it.
thanks, it's good to be back! I really enjoyed this seminar he definitely holds some of the best I've seen

let's go bish 😂🤣
I'm going to check your channel for an update on this. I'm about 4.5 months post op for an ACL recon. I was injured by a bad takedown when I decided NOT to fight my larger, more experienced rolling partner due to the strength of his grip on my leg. I'm still pretty bitter about how it happened as it was supposed to be a light flow roll and he had time to do absolutely anything. I'd like to get back to drilling in a couple of months just so I don't feel like I'm forgetting everything I ever learned. I don't really retain much by just watching BJJ. Still I know if I come back and re-rupture my ACL I'll be devastated! I've always been blessed with good health and athleticism. Being active has always been the number one joy in my life. So being physically limited and feeling like my leg might not be the same again makes me wonder if BJJ is really worth it - even though I miss my BJJ friends and the way BJJ training used to feel! Right now my gym is offering a discounted membership if I pay for 12 months up front. I'd like to be optimistic and think that I'll be able to train often enough - without reinjury - to make the membership worth it but I just don't know! Do you train less often than before? I think the need for strength training is ongoing post ACL recon which will take have to away some of the time I used to spend in BJJ classes. I'm unsure of how I'll strike a balance given how time consuming rehab is!

Video sensacional
What's that guys name Reta
Reda Mebtouche
Thanks for the video. Are you prepping for any competitions?
Yes I'm prepping for the IBJJF Asian Open end of June but will be doing three other tournaments in June-August as well
Nice coverage of the seminar. Do you live in Busan? My wife and I are considering moving back to Seoul from the US with our daughter. How has jiujitsu in Korea?
yes I live in Busan. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised about the bjj scene up in Seoul! there are over one hundred fifty gyms in the city with multiple gyms within walking distance of most major stations. there will be a good gym close by regardless of where you live and some world class training a short commute away
Thank you for your reply. I am hoping there is more no-gi as that is my primary style I train. Cheers to you and I hope to enjoy the content of your channel. I live in Seattle, WA so craft beer is a big thing for me, as well!
Im thinking about taking brazillian jiujitsu and this seems so cool.
I'd recommend giving it a try! it's a fun hobby and a good workout
@@brewjitzu 👍👍👍Alright thanks
Thank you ❤
🇮🇳❤🙏oss
Watching how they roll and move and the grips they get and how they both attack and defend is a bjj lesson, Great clip superb Osss
10/10 video again. Amazing content and quality. This channel really deserves more attention from the community <3
are you guys only based in Busan? are you in Seoul too?
yes we only have a presence in Busan and Yeosu at the moment
I would love to watch a video like this with Saulo narrating what he is trying and why he is defending the way he is.

This school looks pretty legit..
what's the song that starts at 13:13???
Bad blood by Bastille
Man, nothing like the BJJ library. So disappointed it's gone.
Can you type his name to look him up. Thanks.
yeah it's Mingyu Kim - you can find videos of him competing by searching for "김민규 주짓수"
Thanks so much. I am a blue belt, and I discovered that I love playing Lasso and Spider, so I am looking for inspiration. Thanks.
Belts are designed as a recognition of seniority, performance is secondary. Having said that, a lower belt that submits most of the highest belt belongs to a highest belt rank.. ever heard of sandbagging?
A purple belt who has probably more hrs training then a black belt lol
That's usually the case or maybe a teenager who has been training for many years and for all intents and purposes, is a black belt. However, the spider guard is probably catching a lot of people by surprise. It would be hard to find someone who can mimic him so it is probably difficult to train for him.
yeah that's usually the case but from time to time there are some people who just pick up BJJ faster than others too. this kid has been training once a day, five days a week for about four and a half years since he's been going to school, and I think his skill level his much higher than average for other people with that much time on the mat
@@brewjitzu That will do it! That much time concentrated over four and half years will lead to incredible results. I've seen guys who trained six days a week, for six months, become really good, especially if they already possessed a lot of desirable attributes (flexibility, strength, speed, etc.).
... what's his name?
Mingyu Kim - you can find videos of him competing on UA-cam by searching "김민규 주짓수"
