Qu'est-ce que la chaîne RLT ? La chaîne RLT est en train de devenir l'une de nos principales initiatives, offrant une plateforme récurrente pour mettre en lumière différents cancers et explorer leurs possibilités de traitement par radiothérapie. I'm 75-years-old. I had my prostate removed in 2018 after 12 biopsies revealed Gleason numbers of 7/8. After years of hormone treatment I finally became hormone refractory/resistant. I went on chemo (taxotere) for four cycles and my PSA continued to rise. I was then switched to jevtana and my PSA started to decline -- but inexplicably started to rise again after about 9 cycles. My oncologist sent me to a nuclear doctor that started me on Pluvicto (lutetium - 177). After the first cycle my PSA started to drop. After the second cycle my PSA dropped further. I've had my 3rd cycle but haven't got my PSA results yet, but I will get them when I start my 4th cycle this week (Oct. 24, 2023). Pluvicto is prohibitively expensive. My insurance company is billed $180K (US dollars) for each treatment! One thing I can attest to is that I have no negative side effects with Pluvicto, unlike chemo where I would get extreme fatigue, dry mouth, taste buds affected where food was unappealing, loss of hair. I'm scheduled for six cycles of Pluvicto. Just how much my PSA will drop and how long it will extend my life is to be determined.
They need to make this treatment more available to people. Currently the only way men with a death sentence on their heads can receive this is through a clinical trial in the United States.
They will. It's on the final trial stage(3td). I'm part of the trial and I feel pretty good right now. At first I was not sure if this treatment was for me and at the end I said yes. I have four boys and brothers(3) and I'm 66 right so I decided to do it for them. This is for their if it works. But so far so good. I received the maximum of four doses or cycles. My last one was May 31, 2033. Keep finger cross.
