the seat cage reinforces the sides and likely makes them less likely to buckle or fold and cause water to come in ; that was a very smart modification and improvement to the Tucktec

I was surprised the cotter pins seem to have been discontinued. Where the deemed not needed or why else? I am really looking forward to receiving the yellow pro 2025 model I ordered. Watching this video several times so I can assemble in 5 minutes on my first go. Happy paddling.

Just when I thought these things couldn’t get any better😂 I did like the functionality of being able to lift up the skeg when I needed to but the tradeoff for the new folding style and I’m assuming stronger construction seems fair

is there a video to attach the stabilizers? also: the seat cage needs to go in one way, not the other(flipped) the plastic part that grips the seat angles slightly down, if u put it in with that opening slightly up the bar on the seat doesn't go in (or itdoesn't sit on floor)

I understand this is the Pro model. Does the standard version use the same seat cage and seat?

We ordered this new model on July 17th and sent multiple emails. Greg was great in communication but the deadline has extended a few times. And I haven’t seen it shipped yet! I am so missing my last boat.

Sad to hear that you couldn't fulfill my massive order of 2 kayaks due to your supply chain issues. Maybe the dispute that I filed with my bank and the complaint that I filed with the BBB will persuade you to press the couple of keys on your keyboard necessary to process the refund.

Good video. I've been thinking about adding one to my kayak collection because....10 lbs is unbelievable. I think can think of times that would be great to have something so light. I'm sure my Sea Eagle Razorlite performs way better, is much safer & more comfortable, but at 35 lbs, I won't be taking that hiking to remote ponds, carrying it on a bicycle, carrying it several streets to go kayaking where there is no parking to get to the water, etc. The Razorlite sets up about as fast as I can inflate it with the manual pump in 3:20 (far faster than the specs say and I'm no athlete) if I'm in a rush (or use my electric). The Razorlite is probably easier to setup than the Boto too. But tear down....probably a big difference there. It takes a while to tear down the Razorlite, towel dry it, squeeze the air out of the drop stitch material, and fold it up into the bag. I think the Boto could also be useful for those times when I have minimal time to spend on the water. Although the Razorlite would be my first choice when time permits and I can easily get to the water, when I'm in a rush or getting to the water is much harder, the Boto might be a great alternative for those times. Plus it's cheap. Sea Eagle's new EZ-Lite sets up & tears down even faster than the Razorlite, a bit less performance although probably a lot better than Boto. But it's still 26 lbs, and not inexpensive. The Boto may be a good alternative for me on those special days. There are times I'd like to spend a half hour on the water, and the Razorlite is simply too much time invested to both setup & especially tear down for such a short amount of time on the water.

Agreed with other comments . Do another video. Borrow another human to hold the camera . There are so many times you are talking but blocking the boat so you can’t see what you’re doing . Especially assembling the front end . Can not see what you’re doing and I feel like I’m breaking things . Will hope I can find someone else’s video to put it together or I’m sending it back. But for a company instructional video it’s not well done in the beginning or with the seat installation. You can do better.

Hmm I just noticed, this boat is all yellow, and the one in yesterday's video is solid red. But the yellow one on the web site has wide black stripes on the edges of the shell. So which way will they be when they ship?

So no more retract line for the skeg? You just rely on it swinging up as it hits bottom, I guess. Seems like that's gonna make landing trickier, especially where it's rocky.

Yes, a sturdier seat and like the strapping and cage support behind the back! I have 2 other models and this seems much improved 🎉
