Christian Benner "The Heart of Rock & Roll Fashion" interview at his NYC studio in 2016.
Переглядів 1097 місяців тому
CHRISTIAN BENNER is a New York-based fashion designer known for his custom distressed leather jackets and band tees. The records he listens to often inspire his work and, for Benner, the creation of a leather jacket is an artistic process almost like the creation of a painting. He initially was inspired by the individual "do-it-yourself" fashion of the punk rock scene of the late '70s and early...

Wow this video here is the ultimate Bas history! So cool 😎 thanks for posting it.. what a gem 💎
The Two Yokos
A crowd of 5 people
Very cool. Awesome job by everybody. I remember being at bars in the late 80s watching bands. A lot of singers back then had no idea about pulling the mic away from their mouth when hitting the highs and pushing volume. Still amazing to see.👍
С П А С И Б О 🤘 🤘
they didn' t let Vince sing lead 😑
Neal Schon, Journey, not even metal smoked the shit out it
Wow, these guys sound great! How is it that this band never made it big in the 80's? They blow away that other band called White Tiger, with that X-Kiss guitarist. So, whatever happened with these guys?
Oh man, how I miss those days. I was 17 when the album came out and listened to the main song so many times I had the whole solo memorized. Everyone so young and in the top of their game, fantastic voices and guitar solos. We had it all and it simply vanished one day. Sad sad.
80s Heavy Metal had Style, it had Class, Ronnie James DIO was a real Pioneer, he was a true Leader it wasn't about The Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll for Dio, he elevated the image of 80s Metal, Heavy Metal started going down when all of this Death Metal Black Metal took over and it was about the devil evil death Blaspheme God, more Blasphemy, it went to Cartoonish levels with what was came out after the 80s, This was Really The Best Years for Heavy Metal
Kevin was such a nice dude as was Frankie, Rest in Power!
Mark, interested, I'm in UK. Have very good contacts here and love photography / have a great natural eye but keen expand on my skills.. when you here next bro?..

Sick. Shame this vid has so little views. What a legend.
As much of a legend that Ronnie James Dio is.....Halford is right there with him. What a collaboration. The vocal pool is ALSO as legendary as the guitar work. Tate, Meniketti, Shortino..... ...ad infinitum😊
Peru AND Colombia started to panick... .. But were also proud of themselves at the same time.😅
Big fan of both you and Danny!
I loved this when it came out and still do, but one nice part is the quiet version on piano with the credits rolling at the end and the shots of the studio, very emotional somehow!👍
All this lead upto one new years headline”Bon Jovi dad wants to kill Sebastian Bach” true story…
Shame there’s no microphone on the drums..
Believe it or not, never heard about this song. I know bios and history of most artists and bands, involved here, but I have never up to this day heard anything about it. Great song, though, and nice documentary. Thanks for uploading it.
Saw a recent interview with George Lynch and he was talking about how every guitarist there was scared shiitless about Yngwie being there!😂
God Jimmy, I wish I could come talk to you. You’re so missed. 💗🖤💗🖤💗
You made me smile real good after an incredible hard day at work. Love a hardcore BLS brother from Sweden.
The whole project was a dick measuring contest. These idiots never even wondered why was there so many “kids’ starving in Africa. What about the adults? Were they starving ..They were inspired to do something for a cause they felt they were left out of. How many of them with their wealth donated to the so called ‘humanitarian relief.” And why is it that most of the vocalists with the exception of Rob Hartford , Don Dokken, and Geoff Tate all sound like Ronny Dio? One thing people should know about rock musicians is that they have egos the size of Africa.
when you have a cool parent that did successful searching on new rockstar that need to be born. good job, Jon's parent. cool eargasm they were
R.J.DIO . La voz del metal RIP. 👍🤟
The best decade by far kids nowadays will never know experience anything in life like the late 70s and 80s 🤘🤘💯
bring me back to those days, Artists! Stay rock
Metallica???....Megadeth???....Anthrax???....Slayer???
Dave Meniketti! After seeing the "Mean Streak" video for the first time, I rode my bike to the mall and bought the album the next day, followed by Black Tiger and Earthshaker a week later. While I was there, I played Robotron, Sinistar, and that football game with the trackball. Miss the 80's
Wait!! David St. Hubbins was in this?
Buck Dharma's solo - a whole different beast compared to all the other 😎
Borat on drums.
I can't believe they included Ted Nugent in this project. Isn't cgarity a form of...gasp 'SOCIALISM!?' Nugent is a selfish, pro-Trump right-winger.
Man that was a magical time. I am so grateful to have grown up in the 80's. This was shit on like most of hard rock was at that time. "We are the world" with all the pop stars got all the praise. Now the bands that are/were made fun of as "hair metal". Are in demand. R.I.P. Dio, Frankie Benali, Kevin DuBrow. All others that were involved in a great charity. That are gone way too soon. Just like Don Dokken's voice.
Not even close to being a metal head in 85 but I recognised every one in this except the beard guy with shades. I even surprised myself when I saw Yngwei (see?) Malmsteen.
That Spinal Tap joke about Yngwie's J is a good one hehe,.
My boys during the 80's and beyond...I m now 67. Enjoyed every minute of it. P.s. not a party until the Maiden boys show up.🎉 🎉🎉
Ronnie Dio was the Messiah . He returned left another legacy and departed to a place in the Multiverse that also needs his salvation . Thank you Ronnie , you were bigger than this dimension . .
The part that Yngwie plays a 28:23 is incredible.
The song is called “Stars.” Not “We’re Stars.” 🙄
When Ace from kiss was on another episode the fans went nuts
kevin dubrow YES!
Nope sure didnt !!!!
Era of bad hair style...
RIP Ronnie, Jimmy, Kevin and Frankie.
Vince Neil’s interview is hilarious!
2:31 that jacket to honor the singer/bassist of Thin Lizzy is amazing.
