Ukrainian Superpower: Brief History Of Ukraine
Ukraine is a country with a rich and complex history shaped by its strategic location in Eastern Europe. It originated as the heart of Kyivan Rus’ (9th-13th centuries), a powerful medieval state that adopted Christianity in 988, influencing its culture and identity. The Cossack era (16th-18th centuries) saw the rise of the Zaporizhian Sich and the establishment of the Cossack Hetmanate, a brief period of autonomy. In the 20th century, Ukraine endured the hardships of the Soviet era, including the devastating Holodomor famine and World War II.Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Ukraine declared independence. Despite challenges, Ukraine remains resilient, striving for sovereignty and closer ties with Europe.

Since Ukrainian Russian war started many people in Ukrainian villages, towns and cities gathered in volunteering group to support Ukrainian front line. Ukrainians cook food for defenders and deliver its constantly to the front line.

I appreciate your time and liked your short lesson. I am an American who was living in Ukraine before the all out war started. In 2018 I fell in love with Ukraine and it's people and retired to Ukraine. If my youngest two daughters hadn't called me crying begging me to come back home I would still be in Ukraine. I have taken several history classes on Ukrainian history. It is a little bit different depending on which country is telling it. One thing for sure Ukraine existed in written history for more than 600 years before there was any kind of Moscovite's and probably a 1000 years before written history. Слава Україні, Героям Слава! So we can consider them as Proto - Ukrainians. Hello Thank you for your comment About the situation in Ukraine, particularly Kyiv There is not a day in Ukraine when Putin did not send his drones to Ukraine. Very often, drones or rockets cause explosions in the capital. That day, early in the morning, a missile was hit over Kyiv and part of it fell down on houses. The main aim of Putin is terrifying civilization. He uses the most brutal method of the war. But the fact is the Ukrainians have this superpower and believe in the victory During this visit to Ukraine, people established volunteering associations in every city, town and village. This shows Ukrainians totally different from the Russians. The majority of Russians think they are ''small people''and they can not change anything. Unfortunately, Ukraine get not enough world support in this terrible situation. Anyway, we have no other way as being strong and do something. What I try to do )) About museums. It depends on the museum. Most don't mind as well in England. Although some museums don't allow it.
