A colleague borrowed my HP17b financial calculator which can switch between RPN (which I prefer) and algebraic, (for those who don't). I had it set to RPN and forgot to tell him, as we were in a lecture hall. After a while I noticed the mystified look on his face and eventually he handed it back to me, frowning. Then I realised what his problem was!!
Do i need to mount internal drive as i only have a ssd in a laptop running raspi os which also runs the os itself
hi ,is it good method to read and write eeprom to sd card?
This guy breathes too friggin loud! I cannot watch anymore
My (late) dad had an HP41C for work in the 70s but he knew i was obsessed with learning about computers and so “dropped” it and gave me that one and got a new one from work. After the TI57 it was my first introduction to computing. I loved it and always rated HP products very highly (not so much now). Thanks Dad 🙂
I got mine when I was 16 or 17 years old. And now I’m 60 and I stil use it. To spare is I use emulator app on my phone. Best calculator ever for me. Got me to become a computer specialist. 😊
I use the HP25c emulator on my phone and almost prefer it to the HP41CV which I still use regularly. The only problem with the emulator is the decimal comma instead of the point. Programming the 41CV is an art form!
Thanks you
haha, I just came across this and loved that I am not the only one using the HP-41CV. I have had it since the 1980ish and also own the HP-12C, but my first HP calculator was in engineering school in 1975 and I think it was the HP-25C. After my first job, I made enough money to buy the 41CV and man I thought I was in heaven. What an amazing machine back then. I too use the same HP-41 Advantage pack you have. My other packs include: Math/Stat, X Function, and Real Estate. I bet the thermodynamics pack must have been awesome and the envy of your engineering thermo buddies! Hands down, I've always preferred HP's RPN for ease of use. At 69yrs old now, I see no reason to change and am AMAZED my 41CV (and 12C) still operate wonderfully. Of course that was before we started soldering with the nasty lead free RoHs solder; if you want high reliability you need good ole leaded solder. Cheers!
It really was (and I think still is) an amazing machine!
I've had one since I graduated in '81. Still use it.
What would I have to put into the exportfs file in order to access this drive from another network, or from any network, ideally with password protection?
Excellent. I find the command to refresh every 5 seconds very useful. 👍
Your channel appears to have ended, but I really appreciate this video. If you or anyone sees this and knows how to code it to create a new txt file every time you power on the Uno, lemme know! thank you: )
the most beautiful and the best calculator ever. I dreamed about it when I was a student but it was way too expensive.
i mean.....i am writing and reading form 8 chips at a time....but thats with atmel 2464 A and noone even uses that so there was no documentation on how to use it. only datasheet.
An other solution :ua-cam.com/video/1XOWKyjqMR4/v-deo.html
5:49 Why did you used an AND bitwise operator between an integer “address” and a number formed by all ones (0xFF)? The result should be the same “address” value, so why it would be useful? Thanks
Using vi to open files in 21st century!? Wtf
Gr8, thanks
Great introduction! You should consider making more videos of the 41! I love it, it's my favorite vintage calculator, with my 48SX
It was introduced in 1979. I have one from October 79. 😉
Who is selling HP-41CV Calculator?
You can find them on Ebay.
Thank you
Can this be used outside in the broad daylight at Noon ? Also where can I buy that sensor?
I try make this tutorial but I use EEPROM 24C08A and use same the code in this video and result in serial print "the returned value is 255" why don't get this message "the returned value is110"
I have a question. Can I get the link to your film to my students as a practical application of the filters?
When connecting the function generator to your circuit how do you match the 50 ohm output impedance of AWG? Doesn't the generator output assume a 50 ohm load?
I cannot see the screen values. Please make a new video .
Hello, I have exactly same oscilloscope in my house, but I will be able to use it only in April. Also, thank you very much for video
it works. Thank you
Plz make a rc car with this rf remote control sir
How to find device address of sensor as in this video temperature sensor is given and I want to find pir sensor data
How much max voltage we can receive from each Data pin?
This is momentary, any way to make it self locking?
How to convert it to locking?
EEPROMs are great for data logging. I log barometric pressure with mine. Keeping track of what address to write to next can be a challenge. Keep the record # (the next address) in the first two addresses of the EEPROM. def MLSB(x): xlow = x & 0xff xhigh = (x >> 8) return(xhigh, xlow) This function splits numbers into two parts which are written to the first two addresses. Thus 65535 records can be accounted for. If a reading is taken every hour, that amounts to 7.47+ years of readings. All readings are single bytes (8 bits - 255)
Thank you for the great tutorial, it really inspired me to work on the similar chip i found from a broken car security circuit. I really like to test on the cmos serial eeprom from ATMEL 93C46 using your method and the datasheet.
Why not posting videos ?.
Hi. Is there a limit for reads?
hi, can this 24lc128 chip model be programmed into the arduino?
How would you know that the speed(sample rate) is set incorrectly on the analyser software - will it not send data or something?
Hi, Could you use the Arduino to reset/reprogram various BQXXXX ICs that are usually found in laptop batteries ? 🤔😕 Thanks &.... Best Regards,
hello. I made a project with arduino and RF433 module and I hooked up a stepper motor to it and it works fine. but i need some help with the sketch. how can i define 1 button of remote control to turn the motor shaft CW and CCW ? i mean when i pressed the button the motor turned 45 degree CW then the button didn't accept the same command and turn the shaft that way again and when hit the button again its turn in upposit direction. is that possible to answer me
dude. bouncing around a bit on the terminal part. didnt really get what you were doing there. some written commands would have helped. hard to see too
good and great .... i2c EEPROM memory sizes are low compare to SPI Serial Flash ... If possible why can't you upload one more episode about Arduino with winbond Spi memory ( Commonly available and low cost ) - this just request or just comment
can you listen to the squawk audio too with it?
Hi! Is there any difference between programming this eeprom chip and 24LC01B?
Please reply
I'm using 24c08 code not working 255 o/p instead of 110, wiring done according to video
I think the addressing works different for the 24c08 chip. Look at pages 9-12 of ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/doc0180.pdf
@@electricks6149 thanks
Awesome brother please make video on led control with button with external eeprom..i wait your video..
