Thank god..there is someone else on this planet who doesn't like the original Beetlejuice!I don't like it!

The critics today act just like it was when Reagan was in office. The professional politicians/media hated him, but the majority of the populace was with him.

Thank you, finally an honest review from someone who does't jump on the bandwaggon just to generate clicks like so many other UA-camrs. Back in 1994, after reading the comics, I watched the original movie in the theater and loved it (one of my favorite movie from 1994). Yesterday I watched the new adaption and I also loved it. It has its flaws, but it was beautifully shot and had many highlights and -- most important -- entertained me.

and the cartoon was basically adventures in the Neitherworld, which this one seems to be. Hopefully they do the Hawaiian (or island) script as a third one one if this blows up.

I do think the first one just set up the great premise but....yeah there should have been a ton of sequels moving forward from that point.

"Reagan" made the president forgettable, unnotable, and boring! There were scandals to deal with, there were heroic moments, but this was a love story! Sad!

What made the first Beetlejuice so great was that it was the first Tim Burton movie… I know Pee-wee big adventure was Tim’s first major film… but Beetlejuice showed us Tim’s dark comic fantasy side.. You see shades of Edward Scissorhands and nightmare before Christmas all over this film.. Good job on the review. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your review! I am actually planning to see it today! And, I am like you. I saw the first movie years ago, and don’t remember liking it that much. Maybe after I see the new one. I will go back and watch the original and see if I still feel the same years later.

4 out of 5 stars is high praise. If you looked at it just as a movie no politics is it a 4 out of 5 stars movie? Just the cinematography of Reagan looks terrible. I think I will stream it but as a big history buff I really hate when they just show the good and skip over the bad and there was a lot of bad in the Reagan administration. I actually lived through the Reagan administration.

Saw it the other day. For me it was okay. I wish I could've enjoyed it more. When they made a Reagan. Miniseries back in 2003. And that was better.

I think with a bigger budget, a better screenplay, and a better director, it might have been better. The Jon Voight framing device was lame and unnecessary. The scenes of Reagan's early years were emotionally shallow, left little impression, and went by fast. Though it was weird that Quaid played Reagan as young as 30 years old - being that Quaid is 70 - overall Quaid did a fine job. In the sections of the film dealing with the unions and the Presidency, he was at his best. These are the sections of the film that are spotlighted the most. Penelope Ann Miller also did fine work. The acting was fine overall. Again, the screenplay was lacking in depths both emotional and literary. And to me, the film felt small. The part that seemed "the biggest" was Reagan's speech at the Brandenburg Gate. The wide view made it feel big. Overall, a decidedly mixed bag. I can only recommend it for Reagan-lovers, which is why I saw it in the first place.

I was kinda wanting to see this movie with my husband, but he thought it might also be a sad and emotional movie. Did you think it was?

It's sad to see how the extreme left media has panned this movie as "propaganda" meanwhile praising the Obama pic. Do they wonder why not a single person trusts the mainstream media? They're all just activists. Useless people, that regular folk don't listen to anymore. So out of touch.

Saw the movie and I personally enjoyed it!! I’m not sure there’s another actor out there that has the true likeness of Ronald Reagan, but Dennis Quaid pulled off what I assume to be the overall spirit of the man. I’d rate it highly for a biopic 😊

I didn’t see the movie, but was curious if it was good since the actor seemed to be another method actor maybe? Not sure, but he didn’t look like he would do a bad job or at least make the story more interesting. I probably won’t see it just because I’m not a huge horror film, but it seems like maybe he’s more of an anti-hero than a murderer? Looks alright though!

4:10 This was probably my biggest problem with the movie, not so much with the quality of the CGI but with what the CGI creation actually was. Some of the fan service felt like pandering too ("He said the line from Alien! I remember that movie!" type stuff); that Aliens callback from Andy in the elevator shaft was mega-cringe. Still liked the movie though. It felt a lot more like an Alien film than Prometheus and Alien Covenant did.

Despicable Me 4 is honestly bad in my opinion. They did it try. The villain and the baby didn’t have big moments in the movie and that’s a huge shame.

I have an interest in psychopathy which is the only reason I wanna watch it. Josh looks like he nailed the role. Hopefully I'll be able to ignore the autistic dialogue and focus on Josh Hartnett's role as a psychopath. He kinda gives me Dexter vibes.

Despicable Me1,2 and Rise of Gru on the other hand are very fun.
