Unbox the Doxa SUB300T Aristera with me :)
The SUB 300T Professional Aristera follows through on the brand’s spirit of purpose-designed tool watch innovation with the crown located on the left-hand side of the case. While this inverted configuration, frequently referred to as a ‘lefty’ - because it is specifically designed for left-handed watch wearers - is not a rarity, it is nonetheless uncommon in the marketplace, even more so in the diving watch universe.
While the crown has moved to 9 o’clock, the date window on the SUB 300T Professional Aristera remains at 3 o'clock. To achieve this, the movement had to be rotated 180 degrees inside the case. “This repositioning required technical adjustments and a revision of the final tests,” notes Jan Edöcs, CEO of DOXA.
As the first automatic SUB model to sport a crown on the left side of the case, the SUB 300T Aristera is engineered to provide optimal comfort and ease of use for left-handed wearers. Hence the name: Aristera, means ‘left’ in Greek, echoing the origins of the brand’s own name - ‘DOXA’ is the Greek word for ‘Glory’.
The SUB 300T Aristera features a bezel with an aluminium insert, paying homage to a design introduced by Aubry Frères in the 1980s. The choice of metal lends a subtle, elegant matte silver hue. The case itself is carved from a solid block of 316L stainless steel, known for its exceptional corrosion resistance. The SUB 300T Professional Aristera is available exclusively with the DOXA SUB’s iconic orange dial, further enhancing its pedigree. This model comes with both the legendary ‘beads of rice’ stainless steel bracelet to match the case, and a lighter-weight, more casual NATO-style strap. The bracelet and the strap feature respectively a folding clasp with a ratcheting wetsuit extension and a pin buckle.
On the case back, an engraving of a sailing vessel, its sails full - in reverse relief as a nod to left-handed users - along with the inscription ‘Limited Edition XXX/300.’ Beyond its aesthetic appeal and certain collector status, this 42.5 mm diameter watch, worn on land or at sea, maintains its reputation as a timepiece for travellers, adventurers, and globetrotters - left or right-handed, but always sure-handed.

I was saying earlier how similar this is to the 1947 Tissot 6440-3 that actor Jimmy Stewart wore in the 1954 movie "Rear Window". There’s a big closeup shot of that watch in that movie. Differences for sure, but similar. Beautiful watch shown to the beautiful Claire de Lune.

dial is reminiscent of the coulson edition pro pilot, a long with white hands - seems they were so proud of their work there, they wanted to further it into a non limited edition version. this ones a winner too, great video
all the cool models are not available in the us....
I have 1 out of the 1926 pieces made, to bad its not a open case back but the white serprisingly goes really well with the bronze patina, look kinda of like rose gold after the oxidisation and the deer leather not often seen in a watch. It's very nice I display it right next to my Daytona ghost.

Looks a great watch! I just wish it wasn’t solar though as all my watches are kept in cases in the dark and had loads of issues with capacitors dying etc if they aren’t worn regularly. Cracking looks though, the pogue returns 👌

I’m actually really considering this watch… my current position is though I have a Garmin epix gen 2, a seiko chrono and two others… my trusty pilot and Datejust homage (couldn’t help myself) 😅. I tried this piece on in the Sydney Boutique and fell in love with it, the case itself feels to have a carbon type of feel? But it’s super comfortable. I’d like to hear your current experiences with this watch, if you can share :-) Cheers
@@yelp70 I have the Garmin Epix Gen 2 as well and I know the battery life in that watch is exceptional at 16 days with the aod off and even with it on 6 days is amazing and much cheaper at $1600 Aus the Tag Heuer connected I bought is the Porsche version that was $2800 so it is titanium and a ceramic bezel and crystal sapphire and is top quality the thing is if you want a watch you only want to charge ever few days don't get the Tag you have to charge it regularly having said that the quality of this and the skinning Tag has done of this wear os kills any other smart watch out there. So I would recommend this watch to anyone who wants a watch from a quality name and a name with 160 years history and also if you buy one be prepared to lose an hour of your life that is how long it took me to buy one because you have to join the Tag Heuer family and activate the international warranty. So I am very happy with this watch and also if you buy it and get sick of the Tag watch faces you can put Facer watch app on it and use them but I think that makes it more like a Samsung so I'm sticking with the Tag watch faces. My recommend is get either the titanium version for $2600 or the Porsche version with the 2 bands and the charger and charge cable for $200 more
yes band is the part of the watch Tag made to feel like carbon fiber it is supposed to feel like the upholstery in a Porsche the body of the watch is titanium and so is the clasp on the band same as the second band, the latex one which I am pretty sure is arouns $400 or more

Watches, Watches Everywhere!!! ...and people 🙂. What a great video and such a good idea for people who have really wanted to go but not been able. What an enormous, breathtaking place 😲. I bet it was such a great experience! Who knew watches were such a big thing?! Haha, Francis & Gaye knew 🤣. It's great seeing all the stands for the brands and how they use their well known features as part of their display stands on a massive scale! Im glad you spent extra time filming the Tag Heuer frontage, wow, wow, wow, the graphics were incredible! I bet you're exhausted after that tour.
