a too hot to handle train ride Khiva to Samarkand | Uzbekistan Travel Vlog
We thought we were prepared with bringing over 3L of water on the train. It was only supposed to be 10 hours.
It was rough. The effects of the train lasted days. We would not recommend unless it was in a cooler month.
Brianna's makeup literally was melting off. It was fun.

About Us
We met in college and started a five year journey to graduate, get jobs, pay off student loans and save money to travel. After getting married we bought a one way ticket to Greece in July of 2021 and have been traveling around the Globe since. Living abroad definitely brings some unique experiences.
These laidback UA-cam videos will be our way of keeping in touch with family and friends as we explore different countries, try new and strange foods (and of course pizza), and see how many times we can avoid airplane fares. These homevideos will be the only souvenir we end up with at the end (only because nothing else will fit in our bags).
Thanks for watching!
(pro tip: if you click on ‘settings’ on the youtube video and put the playback speed to ‘2’ it goes by faster!)

    Hey Curt and Brianna. I stumbled on to your channel while researching the Dogu Express. It seems like it's become way too touristy and is nearly impossible to secure decent tickets without a ton of effort, so my wife and I have decided to abandon that idea and plan a different route to Georgia. Plus, your review of the border crossing made us reconsider that route. I did want to say that I am enjoying your videos. You guys are really funny and chill. We are planning to travel to Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia (probably in late 2025) so I appreciate you sharing your experience on UA-cam. Chris @388_Days

    Hi Curt & Brianna. Thank you for visiting Turkey. I would like to give you some information about bus travel in Turkey. In your video, you said that "men and women can not sit next to each other", this is not true exactly. If one of you buys two seats, you can both sit next to each other, In Turkey, generally women (travel alone) don't like to sit next to *a foreign man*. Such a practice is done because they do not want to, but if a person (women or men) buys two seats, they can be a man and a woman. Have nice and safe travel.

    • @CurtandBriannaSeeStuff
      @CurtandBriannaSeeStuff 4 місяці тому

      Hello! For the train tickets for a private room - we could not buy them online ourselves because we were a mixed group (one male, one female). For buses, I'm sure men and women can sit next to each other but in the case of the Dogu Express couchette rooms - someone had to buy them for us because it would not let us buy one male and one female seat in the same couchette room. It would only let us buy seats in the couchette if we were the same gender. I'm sure you're right about buses though! We were just talking about the private rooms :) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND TAKING YOUR TIME TO COMMENT!!! We really appreciate it!!! Truly. Turkey was amazing!!
