The voice naturally changes with age. It's unavoidable. A vocalist will also learn more as they go and alter the vox to suit. The guy was half way through his 40s when u did this video. He's my absolute favourite for this type of vocal. His baritone gives it a nice depth, his tech enables us to hear alot of the words in order that the idea of the song is conveyed more succinctly. Many of these types of vocalists I can't stand. So, a younger voice will appear more 'thin'/high and as we age it mellows. Additionally, with vocalists, many often develop the mixed voice more fully by about 30ish. Mixed voice is a fuller and more reverberating sound. It can also make the higher notes sound not so high. Mikaels guttural sound doesnt lose the integrity of the words because his voice is so well rounded. I love these videos that clearly show the transitions of a singer. Awesome
