Hello Anne! Thanks so much for ur comment! I'm so happy you found my channel! Sometimes I think I'm reckless with over posting, or should try to curate more, but thats all outside pressure to brand myself...and what I honestly love doing is sharing lots of loose and odd sketches as often as I make them, then its fun watching them slowly shift as the days pass...it becomes an experimental documentary of my brain! The whole thing is bad for branding but great for art catharsis

Hey Lauren ! please don't ever consider your art as something bad for branding. I mean don't reduce yourself to merchandising ! Like I said your approach is atypical, and that world needs to be more open up about art/aesthetic and beauty. To my opinion, a channel like yours is refreshing and brings something unusual in that field. And trust me it is really comforting ! Again, it is a bit difficult for me to express myself about those thing in english but I hope you understand my opinion. And guess what ?! You give me confidence to experiment my own creativity !👩🏽‍🎨

Thank you! I shot using cut paper collages under a downshooter and used Dragonframe to capture the images, and Davinci Resolve to edit

​@@Ida-Adriana thats so awesome that u rescue! My batch is all better :) I added lyrics to the description btw -it was fun to try to decipher what I was saying (I had just been saying whatever came off the top of my head in one take so a lot of it didnt actually end up coherent)

Actual comment: Thanks for watching and it makes me super proud to think something i made is motivating another animator! But-- just wanted to note that i sat at a table for 2 months and didnt move or exersize or sleep well while i made this. it was lockdown for the pandemic so i didnt have much else to do, but I think i may have animated myself into being more vulnerable for the pulmonary embolism i had shortly after finishing this (there were other factors) but yeah, keep at it but pay attention to ur body and really make rest an essential part of ur process early-- im getting older and am too crochity to change so its taking a lot of work to get healthy which can get in the way of the creativity hussle (no films made since this one tbh cuz i wore out)

@mirothegremlin thanks for checking it out omg i used a combo of garage band, logic, and davinci resolve, just playing with midi and effects in all of them and otherwise using cellphone recordings and freesound.org clips 😀

I feel more distant from this piece now but was trying to get at optimism despite not being able to see any solutions myself...like utopia can be real even if I personally can't tell u what constitutes it and a lot of the natural evidence seems to point toward dystopia it seems...imagining a world where no one comes up with language for violence bc they dont need those words
