In this 1992 Kumul line up, all the players were amatures and had no overseas football contracts,they were all local boys. Led by the late halfback Aquila Emil of Kavieng,they took on a highly fancied and invincible proffessional Kangaroo side that had Mal Meninga,Laurie Daily(6),Allan Langer(7),Brad Fitler etc. and scored three(3) amazing tries against Kangaroos in Australia thus preventing a cricket scorline that we now see today..No other Kumul line up has ever scored more than one try against the Kangaroos in Australia that's why this Kumul performance will always be treasured by die-hard PNG league fans.
