I am major surprised that these podcasters include movies where one or more haven't seen the movie... like Will Penny. And this is especially true since Heston liked this movie and his performance in it the best. I would have thought each of the gentlemen would have listed the movies they wanted to speak about and the others see the films, if they hadn't before. How can you speak about a film and not have seen it??
Steve Rubin, you need to bring Graham Rye back next week to discuss the Bond films again. People want to hear more from him. People want to hear how the Bond films arrived at No Time to Die that ended the franchise. Bond is over. How did we get here. Get on it.
OHMSS is a fantastic film and easily in my top 3 bond films (Living Daylights, OHMSS, For Your Eyes Only)
Steve, my experience with Bond started in a very similar fashion to yours. I, too, first saw "Goldfinger" but at The West Coast Theater in Long Beach not the Chinese in Hollywood. I'd only read "From Russia with Love" at that point and did not see the film (and Dr. No) until the double feature release. My first viewing of "Goldfinger" left a life-long impression my life. Leaving the theater that day, I walked for about two blocks in the wrong direction as I was so blown away I couldn't think strait. Over the next several months I saw "Goldfinger" six more time in several different first and second run theaters during 1965. I'm really enjoying your interview with Mr. Rye.
