A normal car brake pedal has a little bit of free play then when that is taken up pressure should quickly build up as the pedal is depressed. The pedal should then end up rock solid which the standard Thrustmaster spring system allows but after way too much travel.

Im actually playing this track at the moment but I've got the F1GP editor working and have the speed correction patch active. Im using 1989 data also. I keep getting destroyed by the computer drivers, couldn't qualify any better than last and i was averaging similar times to yourself 🤦🤷

I recently reinstalled the game an still enjoy it. It might not have the graphics of an F124 but it is so much more fun. The deeper you dive into this game the more gold you find. Such a classic. Geoff, if you're out there... please come back to F1 Sims.

This was such an interesting time, and decades later, so much advancement, and yet somethings seem to be stuck on repeat. Realizing as time goes on that history is far more important than most can comprehend.

People always focused on Dale Jr as the big sim racing advocate back in the day, but Bobby Labonte was a HUGE supporter of it from the beginning.

I remember watching this (cannot remember where) back in the day, good times.

Tried it, and there was nothing in the weight chain, it said running normaly. Any other ideas? It will run on my laptop, but not on my PC with Windows.

Has anyone tried cutting the springs in half ad having black on bottom and silver on top for a softer start into a harder load? the softer (silver spring) would compress before the hard spring does.

I'm in the process of hooking up a used one I just bought. I was going to wait till December and buy the Fanatec 8nm direct drive. But I found a good deal on this so I think it'll tie me over until then. I've been running on a TX but I needed just a little bit more feedback sometimes. But the good thing is I can give the TX to my son and then use this one. I'd like to stay with thrustmaster and go to the t818, but feel like the deal I can get with fanatec is just too good to pass up.

The middle pedal spring broke a few years ago. Base spring on the left pedal which I use for throttle lost tension. The pedals lasted 5 years, way longer than the pedals that came with my wheel.

Is there a separate driver download for this pedal set? I had them on the PS4, but Gas is where the clutch is and the brake is accelerated. Do you know if that is the case? My pedals were originally T3PA, and the add-ons are T3PM. Do you have any ideas?

I played this game when I was 5 (my mother was in IT so we had a packard bell/hewlett rand PC with 3.1 on it, as well as a commodore 64). The most fun thing to do was drive backwards with damage on and wreck the NPC's race lol... again, I was 5.

I lived in Delaware at the time and we had a small NASCAR merchandise store just a few miles from my house. I had NASCAR Racing 3 and saw this in the shop and was stoked to finally be able to race Daytona. I bought it and came home and immediately went to install it. Sadly it never worked.

I remember SCGT was highly regarded at the time of release, it didn't quite reach the same exalted status as Grand Prix Legends or GP 3 but it was popular with the serious sim crowd. It still holds up fairly well but to be honest later games like GTR 2 have done it better. It's good for a blast of nostalgic though.
