For mounting an aftermarket rear view mirror (auto-vox T9 pro) do I need a an adapter? The previous gen civics just had the “hook” but this one being the click and twist makes me feel like i’ll need to purchase an adapter

I think you may need to replace the spring in your rear wiper. It shouldn’t lift to 90 degrees that easily or at least mine didn’t. I forced mine there and ended up popping it off. I’m having a hell of a time trying to get it back on now. 😂

Hmm, I thought there were one way woofers (on same channel as the tweeters on the upper door) back there. Those look like two ways. So you replaced them with 3-way JBLs and kept the factory tweeters in? No amp, right?

You don't need to do all this, you got to put the car in "Wiper service mode": 1. Turn on the car. 2. Turn off the car. 3. Lift the wiper level (right of steering wheel) to "mist", and hold for two seconds. 4. The car will expose front and rear wipers automatically and leave them exposed so you can easily change the wiper blades. 5. After you finish, turn the car on, and lift to "mist" again or just turn the wipers on, then they will hide again.

Your vids are great btw! Couple years ago I used your method and just adjusted it with that same iSimple but converted it into a lightning cable and allowed it to keep the steering controls. Routed thru XM source. Out of curiosity, and I know the pilot system is kinda jank since when I swapped the door speakers it killed the tweeters up front, any way to put in a new receiver but still route the backup camera through it? Carplay etc would supply the navigation part nowadays, but I havent been able to find a solution for feeding the backup camera feed and getting to work on a new receiver. (apart from taking the whole central radio/amplifiers and then it becomes more headache than its worth.

Hi Rich, I have a 2008 Honda Pilot. My DS4+ with the one way remote worked fine for about a year and a half then one morning it worked when I went to work. When leaving work later, it would go through the normal sequence of tail lights flash, doors unlock, then the unit attempts to start, it will go three crank attempts then disengage and lock the doors again. Battery is new, starter is new, the car turns on fine if I put my key in the ignition. Took it to the (Best Buy) installer and now its been a couple years but I think he said it may have been a fuse and they fixed it at the time. Went another 1.5 years and the same thing has happened again except now I don't have access to a store that installed it anymore. Do you have any recs? or if it is a fuse (its been so long I cant say for certain that that was the problem the first time)but, any idea where I would find the fuse in order to swap it out? The car is still recognizing the fob so it doesnt seem like a pairing issue but moreso an ignition sequence failure with the unit. Also the fob that the unit comes with is a pain in the ass, you think its worth getting the newer 2 way fobs with much further range?

This video was awesome! It was just what I needed to change the light on my own. It was super easy! I had to purchase the correct tool to remove the nuts to access the lights but it was worth it. Saved myself a lot of money and avoid a trip to a mechanic to do it for me. I am woman, hear me roar! 😂🤣😂 UA-cam is my go to for just about anything.

I just bought a 2020 a few days ago, the back panel rattles when i'm playing some music. Any recommends to resecure the panel? it looks/feels like it was taken off before and its not quite snugged up anymore
