Vulnerability Prioritization. Part 2 -

This is a shulang, the Shulang (Vormela Peregusna) is a small carnivoran that looks like a ferret, which is why it also goes by names such as marbled polecat, tiger ferret, and clouded weasel, despite these additional names, it is neither a weasel or a ferret (aka a polecat), it instead is a small member of the family Ictonychidae, the shulang is more closely related to the zorillas, grisons, wolverines, and martens than to true weasels and ferrets.

@weezlemum, actually, you are out of date, Mustelidae is now polyphyletic, recent classifications now restrict the family to only the weasels, ferrets, and minks, polecats and ferrets are the same thing and the stoat is a weasel, which therefore removes the skunks, stink badgers, badgers, otters, zorillas, muishund, shulang, huro, grisons, wolverine, tayra, and martens from Mustelidae and into four separate families, Mephitidae for the skunks and stink badgers, Melidae for the badgers, Lutridae for the otters, and Ictonychidae for the zorillas, muishund, shulang, huro, grisons, wolverine, tayra, and martens, this is very similar to the heavy reduction of the family Viverridae, which is now currently restricted to only the civets, whereas the family no longer includes the african palm civet, linsangs, oyans, genets, mongooses, or malagasy carnivorans, which are all now relocated to the families Nandiniidae, Prionodontidae, Poianidae, Genettidae, Herpestidae, and Eupleridae respectively, to be fair, there are now twenty-five extant families of carnivorans, which are Canidae (Dogs), Ursidae (Bears), Ailuropodidae (Giant Panda), Phocidae (Seals), Cystophoridae (Hooded Seal and Elephant Seals), Otariidae (Sea Lions and Fur Seals), Odobenidae (Walrus), Mephitidae (Skunks and Stink Badgers), Procyonidae (Raccoons and Bassarisks), Ailuridae (Red Panda), Nasuidae (Coatis, Kinkajou, Olingos, and Olinguito), Melidae (Badgers), Mustelidae (Weasels, Ferrets, and Minks), Lutridae (Otters), Ictonychidae (Zorillas, Muishund, Shulang, Huro, Grisons, Wolverine, Tayra, and Martens), Felidae (Cats), Protelidae (Aardwolf), Hyaenidae (Hyenas), Nandiniidae (African Palm Civet), Prionodontidae (Linsangs), Poianidae (Oyans), Genettidae (Genets), Viverridae (Civets), Herpestidae (Mongooses), and Eupleridae (Malagasy Carnivorans).
