Check rocker arm/ shaft end clearances. They need to be tighter than factory recommends. Start there. Its relatively easy to check. Feuling and others sell shim kits.. HD sells adjustable rocker arms as well.. could be the long arm of rocker has looser clearance between arm tip and valve tip. I think dealerships tell u a buncha shit to sell engine builds
