You have no idea how much I appreciate this video. Our pool has been swimmable, but cloudy for the past five weeks after reopening. Printouts of reading zero chlorine the whole time. I’ve been baffled and had no idea that this was necessary. Just left the grocery store with a gallon of vinegar, And am heading home to fix everything.

Thank you so much!!! This was exactly my problem. I backwash regularly and always wait for the water to be clear for a few minutes. I can't believe how dirty and gross my sand was. I honestly thought that backwashing my sand would actually clear all that stuff out... obviously it doesn't. Thanks again!

If you took that hose put it out where you want it then take a shop vac to suck the water creating a siphon you can get started faster.

I've watched the video several times and tried it countless times, I can't get enough suction to make a continuous flow of water.

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

Yes!!!!! Thank you Ken! Came back from vacation and pool had algae all over the bottom. Attempted this several times, no luck. Thought about emptying pool and refilling! But after watching this, I got it and did the whole pool fairly quickly (18’ pool). The hose got heavy but otherwise this worked like a charm. Didn’t lose that much water either. I did put hose on jet and filled it up, as soon as I threw the hose out the siphoning started! Thank you!

I was wondering what timer number mode is set on your pump .. I'm not too sure but it looks like you might have the same type of pool pump that I have on mine .. And in the back of the pool pump next to the extension cord there's a knob with numbers... And I was just wondering what number you had your set on ??

I backwash a lot. I do what he’s doing every season as well. The amount of crap that comes out when I do this when stirring it around with the hose or your hand is crazy. Last year after decent rinsing it probably was ten minutes before clear. This is a good practice.

I've been trying to days I got a 30ft hose and the vacum head and tried to fill the hose and pull it out of the pool and nothing comes out I need tips to fill the hose and make it actually work😢

Ran salt water for the first time last year. It ate through all the supports completely. Had to replace them all.

This worked SO WELL!!!! Was so sick of hooking everything up to my sand filter. This was so much easier and worked way better.
