One thing I had wish I’d known when I first started was to try and find a pfd that has a low profile front for self rescue. I can self rescue in my higher profile front type v with the clamshell, but I wish I would have gone with a flatter one!

It took a while to trace the Colorado River back from where it pours into the Gulf of Mexico

I believe the Colorado splits into the Dolores somewhere near Colorado
