I am in the front row big hair red shirt. Best fkn concert ever!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
@@dawnbabin6463 Great Show!!!
Didn’t Rick Nielsen actually end up with red-eye?
@@timinla64 Probably
@@Volume10Studios I stand corrected..it was actually Jason Isbell.
@@timinla64 I remember seeing a video of him talking about it now that you said it
He was such a sweet and humble guy---most great guitarists are
Black Sabbath influence is felt throughout. Singer instantly reminded me of John Garcia from Kyuss. Alice In Chains, Hints of Acid Bath sounds What a fucking trip
That's the influences in a nutshell
@@Volume10Studios this is likely a long shot but are there any physical copies of their album “Bringing Down the Sun” released in 2000? If so, I would love to purchase
No physical but streaming should be available this year
Holy snare bleed. 🤘🏻🤣
Sounds great 😊
Nice !!!!
Gimme a link and I'll preorder it asap
🤘👊🤘
RIP and God bless you Ed King. Thank you for all the great music you made and thank you for being such an inspirational guitarist. It was great seeing you play live with Lynyrd Skynyrd back in 1989.
Amen!!
Guitarist from black market heros!
Underrated
I love Strawberry Alarm Clock forever❤.
What up P!! One of these dudes was my foreman for awhile
My dad met both of the guitar players, and also big frank, he has the exact amp that was used when this was recorded and has more speakers that big frank gave to my dad, and had the other guitarist head for his setup.
Cool!
i played for practice and still do when i have a guitar Sweet Home Alabama more than any song and has been the greatest nelp .
he was so right it did end badly,,the drugs ,,attitudes and the plane crash
Kind of eerie
Who cut Leon's thoat. Well he can't tell us now
Kyle spits fire in key everytime. Best frontman period.
He's the man!!
Crushing
Kyle should front Sabbath. Incredible talent.
How I wish this released on CD or vinyl. This has to be one of the best bands to never make it big.
Sounds like interviewer doesn't like "Incense and Peppermints" That is a great song! I think Ed was kinda insulted.
Boo...a little on the interview, but even more on some of the comments. yes, I would have asked so much more more in depth with the interview as huge fan of his, but Skynyrd fans can be so crazy..I usually stay out of it. Ed king is one of the best guitarist ever, but just listen on youtube of his isolated bass on freebird. A true masterpiece of playing.
I love to play "guess that lyric" with shit Gabe sings. God I miss this
Does he have another band? His vocals were stellar.
Ha!
Yay
Ed didn't write a single word to Sweet Home, or Saturday Night Special, &.Gary wrote most of the guitar parts for both songs...I love Ed along with the rest of Skynyard, but people need to do some research before you give the applause to the wrong dude..
Gary wrote the solo for Saturday Night Special Ed wrote the rest. Do you really hear a gibson on sweet home, Ed wrote and recorded all the guitar and bass on that song. And that's a fact Jack
3 chord Gary had the 3 chords for Alabama Ed came up with the rest.
You need to take a dose of your own medicine and do some research because you suck at it.
Loved Ed’s bass on I ain’t the one. What a great growling jazz bass sound.
The fact that this interviewer thinks that “Garth Brooks is a great musician” tells me that the interviewer is NOT a great musician - raise your standards, for God’s sake……………
jason we need lyrics to green whore please it fucken rips dude
First time ever seeing this video. How old?
🤘🤘🤘😁
Ed Cooper said.... In a very serious way. 'Ed King was a phenomenal guitarist' Commentators and youtube attention seekers, such as Rick Biato should maybe forget there music theory for a minute, and look at the god given talent artists such as Ed... And instead of dissecting kid charmagne... Figure out Eds solo on working for the mca 🙄
Ed King was too nice to last in LS especially on the road, ha ha. But did so much nice work while in the band.
milk toast interview
Any updates on Soft Head for Bullets rerelease? Hopefully it'll be physical, I'm dying to get a copy of it someday along with the Slaves of Freedom albums.
Exactly, id kill to have a copy of the two slaves albums
Same bro id pay top dollor 😭😭😭
This is my uncle on vocals. Awesome song.
Dunno how I stumbled on here, but this is heavy.
Do one for god hates the south!!!
he was a great guy, well mannered, with a big heart. and good intuition. He knew the path they were on was not going to end well. God bless him , RIP. I saw him 1987 tour when they regrouped. amazing. he really was the unsung hero of Skynyrd in many ways. so were the 2 drummers.
He intuitioned himself out of alot of money
Fantastic song. Please release some guitar tabs, my band and I want to cover florest plauge and this song. A lyrical video of florest plauge would be awesome too. Cheers,
It’s dropped tuning to G+ if that helps
Best SOF song period ❤
I asked him about some of the Skynyrd songs on facebook about ten years ago on his public account. He had 2 facebook accounts. His personal and his fan page. I asked him about some of the guitar parts and explained to him my age. What I did for a living and to my surprise he answered me and in a pretty in depth way. He realized by the structure of my questions that I was a real guitar player, I have worked in live entertainment since I was 18. I learned by ear like many of us did in that time period. We did not have youtube or even tablature until maybe 82 ish. I did see skykyrd in 77 not long before the crash and then again on the tribute tour and I had a bunch of pro shot photo's from that show and asked if he wanted them. He said Robert, I have more pictures of myself and that band that I will ever need or want. Thank you for the offer and then he proceeded to answer my questions in clear detail. He is a was a very polite man and I hope to meet him on the other side as well as ll the others.
Hey! I was wondering if you have any or know of any physical copies of slaves of freedom albums or leaks demo? I'd love to be able to buy any of that but I just don't know where to get it from.
For everyone commenting we did a terrible interview. Yes we aren’t professionals and just musicians that had the honor of talking with the man. We’re just glad it happened and thought it worthy of a share
You guys did good!!! 👍👍👍👍
The simple truth is that if Ed King doesn't join Skynyrd, they really never take off. His contributions get overlooked too often but if you're discerning, you know that his flavor was the secret sauce that made the band really great. The fact that he wrote most of Sweet Home Alabama, one of the bands HUGE hits, tells you everything. King was a brilliant song writer, guitar player and arranger. Once Ed King left, the band went into a real stagnation making 2 forgettable albums and they never really get back on track until another GOOD song writer joins, Steve Gaines.
Yeah, I agree generally. But I like the 2 guitar attack of those albums between Ed and Stevie.
Too bad these guys did a terrible interview
Sorry, but to have the great Ed King for an interview you sure didn't seem prepared. I could have thought of a million questions to ask the man. You guys just stumbled through it.
Nice instrumental 😊
This is an incredible album and I've just found it for the first time, I'm 23 years late here, maybe it was the tranquilisers? Whatever it was, I'm so glad I found it, thank you for everything about this.. Live Forever!
