Here’s the issue: I don’t know what tix cost in Rio, but in the US it can cost thousands for 2 tickets. When I’m paying thousands to see a band I refuse to accept the singer had a bad night. There’s no refund for a bad night. Arnel is responsible for 25% of Journeys appeal. 25% is the band and the other 50% is the fact the Journey is a staple soundtrack through most of our lives. That means we know these songs, we want to hear them played to perfection. To relive the memories associated with these songs. No excuses.

Arnel is the voice of Journey. He has been for seventeen years, longer than Steve. The keys these songs are written in are simply killers for the people who sing them year after year and no one has lasted as long as Arnel, and he's now 57 years old! His voice isn't what it was seventeen years ago, but for him to continue to perform at this level has been astounding.

Thank you Adam for such an interesting and respectful commentary on Humble Pie. I am a huge fan of Steve Marriott, both with Small Faces and later the Pie and some of his solo work. I especially love Small Faces. I think they were brilliant and very far ahead of their time 1965-68. Sadly, here in the US a few years back, I had a hard time finding anyone who had even heard of them. I believe that now, thanks in great part to YT and music reactors featuring their works, they are once again (along with Humble Pie) gaining a new fan base. Keep up the good work!

The first album is great. The music takes you to another place and the surreal lyrics are from another place - possibly London, Seattle or Denver. For some reason every copy of the album I bought skips at the end of the first track. Turns out it's not a defect, it's clever production. Also they deserve an award for one of the best song titles, "I feel better than James Brown".

Saw them on the Smokin' tour. They did their earlier stuff, including a raucous I Don't Need No Doctor. For the newer material, the Blackberries appeared! They were great, one of the best shows I've ever seen. Marriot was all over the place, and belting it out like only he could.
