Yep the door and sill mouldings are impossible to find .... well through a restoration of an RA61 celica myself which is very similar to that supra.... then ive a supra to start into after that so looking forward to watching your progress.....plenty of heat on the bolts 😊

Bloody hell! 😁A mate of mine had one of these in black back in the early 90's. He had the "base" Celica and then found one of these. Top my teenaged self it was like a spaceship compared to the usual Fords, Opals etc. Even then these Supra's weren't exactly common. Not in Ireland anyway.🙃 Great find. Good call getting your da to help. Can't get that kinda experience from a book.

I don't use Honda transmission oil anymore, Amsoil synchromesh is much better instead! 😉

Oh, an idea of tutorial: a clutch change without getting the gearbox out. I'll soon need that to be done, I'm afraid. I can help with information on how to run these little baguettes with E85 (fuel and ignition management + how to cold start perfectly). It saves you money and get you free ponies 👍

Thanks a lot, man. A Frog here who just bought a RHD 182. I did all of that once, but that was 3 years ago. And as I'll soon get out, as spare parts, the engine and gearbox from my old LHD 172, I've got the feeling this video is going to save me a lot of time 👌 If I'm feeling confident enough, I'll transplant everything needed to turn my 182 into a LHD 🤘 A little MIG is going to be needed, together with a grinder. I know that 🤞

Just to make people aware, if you are using this outdoors make sure it's a completely wind free day as you can be happily spraying away underneath and a fine mist can blow back on your paintwork on the sides of your vehicle and if you don't notice this and it cures then you have to go at it like you would tar spot removal to get it off.

I've got a U9 LHD here in Holland that has and had the same issues. Back end has been done and try to tackle the front inner sills and lower section of the mud guards. Cheers

Pour half a litre of dexron 2 Atf in the engine and let it run on idle for an hour giving it the odd rev, Then drain it and do an oil and filter and i bet the tapping stops.

Had a p10 one of these great cars pretty much the best fwd car. The p11s are good but they lost the rear suspension and just put a beam in. It's OK. But it killed the handling if you were pushing it. Any slight bump would just unsettle the back end and kill your speed.

I had a wagon in DR2 green. It's one of those colours that looks nothing special until you clean it up and get some light on it, then it's gorgeous. It'll definitely benefit from a good detail. Sadly you're a bit late, I sent a silver GT saloon off to scrap about a year ago and it had a decent bonnet, no one wanted it though. Still have some smaller parts for sale though, but your car looks pretty complete as it is.

Found through NPOC and anything primera group on fb. Had 3 now, 2 wagons and now a sedan all 20de manual and really enjoy them. Silvia engine without the high price and if anything more fun on the back roads!. Will be following along

Good video, did you use exactly 2ltr for the gearbox? that method is a lot easier then using the other level hole.
