First snowmobile ride from the house
Переглядів 2312 роки тому
Finally had enough snow to ride right from the driveway. I have been riding elsewhere in Vermont … but it is always a bonus to leave right from the driveway. Not tons of snow but the extreme cold has helped maintain trails with minimal snow. Big snowstorm on the way though #snowmobile #vermont #braap #snow

My new motorcycle, the 2021 Yamaha Tenere 700, finally arrived. This bike is often referred to as the Unicorn because they are so hard to find. This motorcycle is truly amazing and I will be doing many new adventures onto the back roads and BDR trails near me. #tenere700 #motovlog #advrider #onoffroad #vermont #adventure

Crazy day on the river!! I caught 12 trout with my spinner, my fly fishing rod and a Trout Magnet.
Переглядів 1293 роки тому
My honey hole was on fire ! My first six casts I landed a trout. I caught 12 overall using a spinning lure, a Woolly Bugger on my Fly rod and several with my Trout Magnet setup. It was my first time ever using a fly fishing rod, so I was pretty excited about that. #fishing #flyfishing #trout #Vermont.
Hey! Is there an app or anything that will guide just like a GPS would? I have on X but I'm looking for a different trail map. Thank you!
Yes…You can find all the Vermont atv/SxS trails on the Polaris Ride Command App
@@vermont_rider Thank you very much!
nice
Howdy fellow Vt rider! Been out this season yet? McCullough Turnpike is ROUGH. I sure hope they do some work on it this Summer. Mt Washington toll road is on my to-do list this Summer, for sure. And of course the Kanc to get there. Cheers!
Yes. I have been out riding some. I just did a big ride yesterday through central VT. I went over Brandon Gap. That road is nice. Winter can be rough on McCullough for sure. I love riding the Kanc
Hope you enjoyed!! I’ll be out tomorrow laying the carpet for the first time this year! Enjoy!
I will be down that way real soon myself
Do you have an address of where you parked
you can park in Lowell VT at the general store. Also in Eden at the store. Both parking areas are right off of Rt 100
Nice trail and good job filming and narrating. At the end, when you show the loop that you rode, you should include miles ridden.
How much is the toll to drive up there?
Looks like about 8 inches of snow. Not sure when the 2 to 3 feet come into play.

Came into play right here…☝️. On Christmas eve the temps went high for next several days and melted all the snow. Thanks !
what are the rules and regulation I have sxs and wanna bring mine up north. is a special permit or registration needed or license ?
what trails can I bring my sidebyside on in the fall.. wanna do a road trip up there and bring my sxs
Great video . Gonna be doing this ride very soon. Bummed there wasn’t more video…Damn those TT guys
Thanks
Good morning I was wondering if you could send us the tracks that you did on this road from flash ride command thank you
Great views, I could feel myself riding right along with you. It would like to know at what speed you travelled up and down hill, what gear used down hill and return time down hill. Thanks
Do you know what ATV club maintains that trail loop you’re on? The one I ride is the borderline ridge riders which is in the Newport area. I would love to find that trail you were on and explore over there. The vasa map shows lots more trail loops, but I’ve only tried mine so far.
Most of it was on Borderline Ridge riders trails. Parker Pie is on southern end of trail system in Glover VT. Try the Polaris Ride Command app if you don’t already have it… it shows all the vasa trails
Great video and narration. Keep up the good work. I ride Vt a lot on my F800gs. Not a bad road in the state eh!
Thanks
I am riding for 2 weeks rented a GS staying in Warren where I am from if you want to ride I am trying to film a few things could use a hand buy ya lunch! May 28-June 10 Message me if you can
Amazing! I just got back into riding after many years off and this will be one of my first stops once it opens up for the year.
It is a great ride. Enjoy !!
I am doing this ride in July. Also going to Vermont and New Hampshire to climb Mount Washington
grew up in bristol, man i remember the gaps.
My wife grew up in Starksboro/ Bristol area. We have lived in Bristol for 30 years now
I remember when they opened the bmx track years ago , me and my buddies used to ride it when the workers quit for the day back when they were still building it.
My house is at Willoughby,so my start point unless I trailer is at the end of the lake
Willoughby is one of my favorite lakes in Vermont. so beautiful there. What a great place to have a place to stay
Can’t wait for some good snow after the 15th. Leave our Willoughby lake house and head tords Jay!
That is always a good ride
I came to this video just to see if you'd drive by the Newhart inn. Thanks for the reference! Awesome scenic ride too!
You like ur ski doos
Yes I love them
@@vermont_rider 600 etec or four stroke?
How much of the road was unpaved? Seems more of it was dirt in 1982 when we last took the auto road to the summit.
It is all paved now. Just completed in the last year or so
I’ll be riding the Northfield area this up coming season. This is my first time riding in VT. I’m planning on heading west on trail 17. Looking for recommendations for different sights to see
Definitely head down into Hinesburg area and go to the lookout on Mt Philo State Park. You can loop down through the valley towards New Haven and back rt 17. My club… Mt Abe Snow Sports maintains those trails up back towards Bristol, Starksboro and Huntington. Being in Northfield…. Your riding options are endless. Right in the middle of the snowbelt. Make sure to head south towards Chittenden as well. Barre/Groton has some amazing riding
It's call Beaver Brook Falls
Looks like a great trip. I need to get in some bike camping but not to a BDR extent. Wonder if you miss the Road Glide?
It was a great trip… thanks! The Road Glide was a great bike for hitting the pavement but I like to explore the back roads. Vermont is about 70% dirt roads 🤣
How many months you can ride in Vermont?
Typically mid April through early November. Lower elevations are best bet early season and late. Cold weather gear is a must though haha
Table rock… did that with my family. Just be careful there is a “easy” trail which is def easy but we mad the mistake of going up the trail that was a very steep and it’s referred to as a scramble trail. We had our 2 youngest daughters with us, 3 and 9.
Thanks for the heads up
💯👍
Hi VR Going to Stowe in july looking to rent a motorcycle in the area anyone comes to mine? Ray
I would check MotoVermont for rentals. Also riders-share.com

@@vermont_rider Thank you so much .Really appreciated 👍
We have a trip in August to do the NEBDR. We are riding all through your are then back to Burlington. You should join for a bit.
Let me know... I may be able to do that
While in Vermont, I avoided snow covered roads, so this is a treat. These are scenes one would never see otherwise.
Yeah getting out on a snowmobile is the absolute best way to see the Vt countryside in the winter. So many landowners open their land and you get to these areas and views you never see from the road. Thanks for watching
I went out driving often during my 15 years in Middlebury and loved the scenery. This is one trip I didn’t take, so it is great to see it now.
So many back roads to discover in VT
Wow. I recognize several of the scenes you ride through. And those I don’t exactly remember look like one I do. Well done!
Thank you
I taught at Middlebury College from 2000 to 2015 and spent many hours driving around the state. This ride revives many memories!
Thanks !! It is a great area for sure. I live 15 minutes from Middlebury
Thanks for the tour of your area. I still havent seen a T7, starting to think they dont exist haha. Stay safe
Very few around for sure. I just went to Americade in Lake George the other day and i did not see one other T7 around. My bike got a lot of attention though haha
Looks like we ride the same roads. I also have a Tenere. Let me know if you want to have another T7 in your videos sometime
Heck yeah !! We should meet up and ride sometime
@@vermont_rider Sounds good! Let me know when is a good time for you and we'll meet up

Is this pond at the beginning of the video kaolin pond ? A few miles to the north from where you live?
No.. not sure that pond even has a name Lol. I call it Hardscrabble pond
Vermont, family & kids. Now, crippled recently for support of the criminal intent of Bernie Sanders. But why, with all they have, do Vermont feed race wars, waging drug war against God's American way
Fantastic, looking forward to checking this route out! Live in SB, fam in Rutland. Peregrine (pair uh grin) falcon is fastest animal on planet, 240 mph diving speed! Cheers, would love to ride sometime, Moto Guzzi V7III and a new Ninja 1000SX.
If in the area…. Hit me up. Many great roads around here
How was this mounted
The 360 camera comes with an extension pole. I use Ram Mount claw to attach it to the SxS
Awesome videos - can you provide the specs on your camera and set up?
Made it to VT about a month ago and my Triumph Scrambler was shipped here - it should arrive on Sunday morning - can't wait to get it out on these roads! Thanks for the inspirational videos and keep them coming please!
Thank you. You will have a blast on that Scrambler
Looking forward to more Tenere content!
Thanks ! Me too haha
I need a phone number I wanna come by this week
I camped many a year on the road right at that 90 deg turn been to the top of mt horrid once in the 80s
can you ride 60 inch+ utv out in jericho? im considering buying one but not sure what trails i can access at 60ish inches in a wildcat sport.
Most trails are 65" and under. There are a few trails in southern NH that are under 50"...but Jericho is 65". Enjoy
@@vermont_rider l would like to ride the wilds. Do you know if a KRX can fit through the gates. I know you said that 65" was ok, but the KRX is 68. The gates may have tight tolerances.
@@curtissmith8789 I think you may have issues with 68 in some areas
@@vermont_rider Thanks Vermont rider for the info. That's a beautiful part of the country! I get up there most summers on the road bike. Are there many trails in Vermont, if so what and where are the best.
@@curtissmith8789 yes there are some good trails in Vermont. Stockbridge area is very good. Up by Newport Vt is a large trail system...some road riding but also good trails too. Check the Polaris Ride Command app...it shows all of VT trails
