Great demonstration on tune versus non tune 👍🍻
Hi just a few questions for the 4HK1 tuning. 1 do you egr and dpf delete. 2 do you change the boost settings.. 3 have you placed a tune into the 2wd npr and what are the results? These are trade vehicle that we need reliable. Any more info would be great. I’m looking for a tuner to remap mine but I also tow 3 1/2t all day and need the extra power to climb hills. Con you do a video on a customers npr trade pack 2wd so we can see the difference.
@giovannitripodi681 the drivetrain is exactly the same. The newer NPR and NPS have no dpf. Send me an email and I am happy to discuss. Info@staytuned.net.au
What size tyres are you running?
@johnbishton7424 they are a 37 inch tyre
You don't have to give away your 11 herbs and spices... But how on earth can Isuzu (and other manufacturers) hose even more fuel and get figures of less than half? With a petrol, overfueling helps protect from pre-detonation via cooling So IMO they might overfuel to keep away warranty issues and don't mind that you are paying for extra fuel But how do these diesel trucks get such bad fuel economy with the low factory outputs? Or is it that the tune is bad, and therefore drivers are on the accelerator to get the truck moving? Thank you for your time
@@willhooke it's mainly the second half of what you said. So with a Diesel, the richer you run it, the hotter it gets. It's the opposite to a petrol
That's impressive. I've driven these stock fully loaded in npr's, npr300 weighing in at 6.1t and yeah they are slow and steady.
Why are you running with the bonnet up, and where is the fan for cooling?
The cooling fan is in front of the car. You just can't see it in shot.
I'm not a tuner's arse but in my opinion you should be trying to simulate on road conditions. Get that fan up close so it's doing some good and close the bonnet.
@wesleymcgrath5175 you will never simulate on road conditions completely. Even with our 3 phase fan it's nothing like the static pressure from driving down thr highway. Thr goal is to keep coolant and intake air temps stable for tuning purposes and test the calibration on the road which is a critical part of confirming any tune.
@staytuned9176 yeah, true you will never simulate on road conditions exactly, but you're not even trying. Excellent philosophy, test on road afterwards, but if you are that confident, strive for excellence, not middle of the road.
@@wesleymcgrath5175 Wesley, I do this for a living, your comments come from a place of ignorance and self importance, nothing more. The gentleman here have followed industry standard procedure. You are very wrong. Great work Staytuned.

Hey guys, i own 2 npr,s 1 with the 4jj1 and one with the 4hk1, where and gow can i get this done?
Do you have instagram mate?
Mate I've just done the same setup but I'm not sure where those silver spacers go?
I love your work and I'm thinking of doing this build. It seems like you had to do a lot of modifications because the patrol's front ring and pinion are on the right side. Do you think there are fewer modifications needed if you order a Danna differential from Currie in the US and have it made where the ring and pinion are located on the left?
QUESTION WHEN TUNED DOES IT VOID THE WARRANTY ?? AND UR SAYING YES THERE IS A RISK, BUT DOES UR TRINKERING AROUND WITH IT SHOW UP THE COMPUTER SIDE OV TRUCK IF THE WORST DOES HAPPEN AND THE INSURER RUNS A DIONOSTIC ON THE ENGINE? BASICALLY IS THE TUNE UNDETECTABLE TO THE DEALER ON WARRANTY CLAIM ?? CHEERS GUYS
Who did the tyre fit and suspension upgrade? cheers
@@MORT-zf3qb we do the King suspension and associated components in house at Stay Tuned
hi look great but just one question please what happens to the warranties ?
@user-qd9wg9xn9f same thing as any other modification. If the tuning is proven to be the cause of the fault with the vehicle, then it won't be covered. If the fault is not caused by the tune, it will. We have never had a failure in hundreds of trucks, they are very reliable.
@@staytuned9176 hi mate just a update been back to the dealer for a service and at 20.000 km and was told that trun on the truck has void all warranty and in recoded in the data bace so if ever have any issuess its not coved by any one and if i remove the trun it remains the same No warranty

Was watching a popular UA-camr who travels in his NPS. Blew his motor and no warranty as it was tuned. Transmission went a little while later and no warranty
@kromey111 yes we saw the same video. They definitely should have pushed that issue a bit more.
@@staytuned9176 I agree as Isuzu have to prove it’s the tunes fault
@@staytuned9176 then again. Can they handle double the power and triple the torque
@kromey111 we have Tuned literally hundreds of these now and yet to have any mechanical failure what so ever. Remember, Isuzu themselves send this engine combo out the door in bigger trucks at 70% more than these from factory
@@staytuned9176 depends if the owners report back to the tuner with any issues. Reckon that UA-camr went back to tuner ?

THANK VIDEO GREAT IDEAL KIT LOVE 2010 ISUZU 300NPS 75
Does this Ute had the stock clutch and has it been ok since? Any updates on this Ute?
That's all good and well... do you tell the customer to keep the revs at 1800rpm up a big long incline?? The radiator can't handle the heat if you try getting to the top as fast as possible it boils. My experience just cruse up at 1800rpm "no rush"
Your delusional. The cooling system will handle it perfectly fine. 1800rpm at 90% throttle is worse for exhaust temperatures than 2400rpm at 50% throttle. Don't give anyone that advice....
@staytuned9176 so your telling me you can go up Toowoomba range at 2400rpm pulling 3.5t behind your tuned nps 300 at 100% And no extra heat...
@palma8120 that's not what I said at all. Of coarse if you are at 100% load for an extended period of time the heat energy has to go somewhere. The cooling system on these is extremely robust and I have yet to be able to put it under load long enough to exceed 102 degrees centigrade (and that's on the dyno or big hills).
Hey guys! I'm in the states and have a 2007 "Sterling" model thats a rebranded Fe84D apparently. Is this something that could be done on this rig? I use it for a tree service truck.

I had my nps map tuned and a noise came into the turbo after 15,000 kms after the tune I took it to Isuzu and they would not warrant it because of the map tune so I’m up for a new turbo
Have you spoken to the tuner? We have never had a failure in God knows how many NPS tunes

Can this be done over the internet around the world?
Yes. We work with lots of tuners around the world to deliver tunes remotely. Where are you based?
Actually...not a waste of time. Maybe it is on the dyno but i've done pretty much exactly what you just did. I did 0-100 street acceleration on stock engine, tuned engine, and lastly with the 3 inch turbo back. The tuned result was obviously night and day difference to the stock result, but the exhaust also picked up another whole second to 100kph. Stock - 15.4 sec 0-100 Tuned -11.2 With 3 inch exhaust - 10.2. Mines 4x4 with auto. Bloody brilliant towing the tradie trailer :)
Hey mate, each to their own but we have tested a very large number of these and it's the same result everytime.
@@staytuned9176 I wonder if it comes down to the muffler then . Mines straight piped with a small resonator. Interesting
@@elwoodroadsmusic9639 I don't think so. You can unbolt the exhaust with the same result.
@@staytuned9176 well, something somehow made the difference haha. With back to back road tests it showed a definite difference. Who knows. Maybe my stock exhaust was badly clogged.
How does the tune effect low range performance? Isuzu limit the torque in reverse and low range (assuming to protect the drive line). Does your tune take that into account? Tossing up between the NPS and the Hino 817. Ive owned both brands of on-road trucks in the past so no really brand loyal as both have been great. Have you guys had a go at tuning the Hino?
We have tuning packages coming for the HINO! The torque limiters are still active in reverse and low range, albeit a fair bit higher than stock.
Another informative StayTuned video. Wonder what that guy is talking about at the end. Improving the AMT??
Who knows! :D
Some one asked the question of price which you didn't answer, can you clarify that ???? also what year is your NPS I noticed there is no Lane departure crap on top of the dash, I have just taken delivery of a brand new 45/155 NPR and it has the same amount of left down steering angle on it, did you not ask for that to be rectified at first service or is it considered to be an Isuzu anomaly.
We won't respond to pricing enquiries on UA-cam. Send our Facebook pages a message / give us a call and we can clarify that for you. Our steering is off in this video due to suspension changes, nothing to do with Isuzu. We have wheel aligned it since. The 4x4 models don't receive the lane departure tech like the 2wd models.
if your going to pimp the engine with mods, what would you do? also would you add a high volume oil pump and change the oil pan so it hold more with a baffle in the pan. also are you going to tweek the drive line or rear end gears.
There are some mods coming, so keep an eye out. We have seen no reason to suggest a high volume oil pump is needed.
Can you remote tune the older 4p10?
Where are you located?
The engine a 4 or 6 cyclinder and how much does it cost to do the tune you did. I'm looking at retiring soon and I already own a 2013 D-max which I really like but these trucks really appeal to me so looking at setting one up for full time touring. Cheers really appreciate onest numbers
Hey mate, they are the 4HK1 which is a 5.2 4 cylinder. Kind of like a big 4JJ1 which is what is in your Dmax.
Hey bud I’m keen to do this as we will be towing a 4T caravan. You reckon it’s worth it for towing? We’re getting a trans cooler put on as well. I understand it voids the warranty but just checking if it’s worth it. Also what speeds you reckon I’ll be doing with a caravan with out the map ?
Hey mate, definitely worth it. They are painful standard. Even our race setup here (would be lucky to be 2.5t) would see us down to 60kmh on lots of hills. Send us a message on our Facebook pages and we can organise to get you slotted in somewhere, you will be over the moon. facebook.com/staytuned14.7
Tune .. Ironic,,, Audio & Microphone....need tuning
Or we just need a microphone? Thanks for your feedback
So the obvious question has to asked, is the modification legal?
All factory emissions equipment stays in tact, so yes.
Hey guys, I’m curious about warranty issues with it tuned? The salesman I chatted to while test driving one said Isuzu won’t cover them.
The manufacturer has to prove that a modification caused a failure. A tune doesn't void your warranty unless a failure is directly attributed to it. In which case, we would help. However it goes without saying that some risk is always involved when modifying vehicles.
Can the turbo be upgraded?
Absolutely. We have an upgrade in the works
Yewwwww look forward to it to seeing the gains
@@paulgalpin6740 we can't wait either 🤣
A microphone would have been an idea. I turned it off at 3 mins in…. Couldn’t hear a word from one of you.
Hi Ken, yes we are aware the audio was suboptimal. We have rectified this for future videos. We encourage you to watch the rest of the video, anything inside the truck is perfectly audible.
Great stuff guys, loving the real world numbers. Are you planning on any further performance mods, intercooler/exhaust etc?
Thanks! Yes definitely. We have exhaust, turbo, intercooler, gauge / pillar pod all coming
Awesome, cant wait to see it!@@staytuned9176
Interesting, very interesting. Regarding fuel consumption and 37" tyres, once you change the wheel diameter the onboard live fuel consumption readout is false; which is to be expected. Are you able to change the settings on live fuel consumption to be accurate with 37" tyres? For instance, my readout hovers a lot around 15.5 l/100 to 15.7 l/100 when in fact the real consumption is 18.2 l/100 to 18.6 l/100.
Is your speedo accurate?
@@staytuned9176 The speedometer is dead accurate, the fuel consumption readout is still working on the OEM wheel size (we're running 37" wheels). Check your truck, you'll notice the difference between displayed and actual. You need to reset the second trip meter readout when you refuel to get the constant variable readout.
@allanhugh2044 I'm well aware how to reset the trip consumption using trip B. Ours is consistently within 0.5 - 1l per 100km
@@staytuned9176 That's great for you, two other NPS truck owners I personally know running 37" tyres have the same erroneous live fuel consumption readout as ours.
@allanhugh2044 yeah OK, that's why it's always good to check.
