In this episode we discuss the Ghostbusters Plasma Series 1 collection. My wife and kids got a few of these for me for Christmas and I liked them so much that I decided to complete this series collection. This also allowed us to complete the Terror Dog build a figure. Amazon ended up sending me the wrong package at one point, but we finally got all of that resolved. See how in this episode.

I love it when people takes the time to restore a childhood memory 😌 awesome job mam
I appreciate it. I had a good time
Hi, a quick question about the T-Rex, the tip of the tail is a slightly different color than the rest of the tail right?
I'm not 100% sure. If you are referring to the original toy, it may be a slightly different shade as I believe the tail tip may be a different material than the tail itself. If it's a different color due to this, it's only off by a shade or so based on pictures I've looked at. I've never had the original tail tip in person. Only the 3D printed replacement that I made.
What kind of method is used to cut larger objects than print bed into smaller parts called and how do you do it? For example 3dlabprint RC planes have their planes separated in smaller parts. Examples: www.youtube.com/@3dlabprint180
@@larsulrich3356 great question. Some softwares have a slicing feature and can breakdown a large model into smaller pieces. Other softwares you have to model them as separate pieces.
How long have you been drafting? Can you give me your approximate calculation on how long it would take for a brand new person at drafting to do what you have accomplished with the t-rex tail?
@@larsulrich3356 it can be learned relatively quickly. Especially in the hobby side of things. If you find a software UA-cam will be your friend on how to use it. It's a great platform to learn
Very interesting how you acquired the scale information? How did you draw the actual tail piece?
I used a 3D Modeling Software. I have a CAD Drafting background. I appreciate the comment.
@@JBsToysHobbies How long would it take to acquire that skill that you used for what you just did? Are objects capable of being imported into blender or STL? What do you think of laser scanners?
@@larsulrich3356 it depends person to person. I caught on and learned quickly. Each model can vary from simple to advanced. There are free softwares out there that can be used. I can't recall which ones are free though. I was using Creo for these. I think Inventor was free at one point. I convert them to STL for the 3D printer so they can be file converted. Ive never used a scanner though, so I have no experience on that.
@@JBsToysHobbies Is Creo free?
@@larsulrich3356 unfortunately Creo is not free. I'd look at maybe Inventor. I was once free, the student edition was. Not sure if it still is though.
I'm already a huge fan of Ryan and the team at Toy Federation, and now I'm a fan of your channel. You did a phenomenal job with the camera, and you and your sons toy knowledge was very enjoyable to watch. Warms the heart , what a blessing
@@thepinballzone I greatly appreciate the kind words
Actually, it was 1992 which is when Zyuranger came out in Japan along with the Japanese version of this toy which also along with the other zords were also sold separately too.
@@RedPolarBearRanger I greatly appreciate the information and comment.
@@JBsToysHobbies your welcome if you want this to show accurate the stickers makes sure that toy is show accurate.
Can you make a t guage set 😊
If I can find a set Id love to try. I had a lot of fun building this.
I have been trying to find a 3d file of the whole tail to restore mine :/
you can email me, (email is in my channel description) and I'll send you the file.

Hello, just subscribed. Do you have the file for the tail tip?
send me an email at jbstoyshobbies@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to send it to you.
Really well done! I created my own layout using this tutorial…. Turned out really well!
Thats awesome to hear and happy you found it helpful! I greatly appreciate the comment and support! Feel free to send in pictures and I'll share it in one of my upcoming videos as a subscriber project. My email is located in the info of my channels description.
The only thing you need to 3d print are the pterodactyl canons that goes in the back of the megazord.
You're 100% correct. I may do that in the near future and do a video update with it.
Damn, you did a wonderful job🎉.
I greatly appreciate the comment, kind words and support!

Toy federation rules
Absolutely! One of our most favorite places.
I just completed this set as well. I went a little nuts and got all 3 versions of the plasma series. Terror dog, sentinel terror dog, and the slime ones. Never collected the ghostbusters series until now. Thanks for sharing the information, function, and views. I don't plan to open mine so nice to see them hands on.
Thank you for the comment and support! Thats awesome! You went all out for sure! All of them are awesome looking. I'd love to have the other Plasma series as well but just currently don't have the space to display them. I'm actively trying to figure out how and what I'm upgrading my display case with to give me more room. Once I do that, I may end up doing the same. Thank you again.
Logan has good taste for toys
I agree lol. We have a blast anytime we are out toy hunting. Thank you for the comment and support!
You do better camera work than the store's you tube channel videographer does. good job!
Thank you for the kind words and support! I'll definitely take that as a compliment as we watch Toy Federation Weekly lol. It's one of our favorite channels.
When I saw the original power rangers that really brought back good memories. Thanks for that, rip tommy.
Absolutely, we still have some original flip head 1994 rangers in our collection. We will have a new upcoming episode showing our collections soon as well. Definitely miss JDF aka Tommy. Thank you for the comment and support!

Hi JB this is JB cool i have lots of Star Wars vintage figures and vehicles on my channel too. New Sub here JB’s are #1 🎉
Hey JB! I greatly appreciate the comment and support. The Vintage Star Wars figures are cool. I had many years ago. Perhaps I'll share that story in the future. I subscribed to you as well thank you.

Thank you @Phillip5151 we greatly appreciate it! We will definitely get a collection video up in the near future.
In your video when you where at the TMNT case I seen what looked like a VW beetle in the corner it was blue and white. I collect all things VW beetle and was real curious 🤨 if that belongs to TMNT
@vwslivingllife4933 I had to go back and look as well. That is indeed a TMNT vehicle from 1991 called the Shell Top 4x4. While it's not an officially licensed VW Beetle, it is definitely inspired by one. I wish I could post pictures in the comments on UA-cam. But if you google "1991 TMNT Shell Top 4x4 vehicle" You'll get several pictures pop up. It looks cool especially now that I'm looking at it in more depth. Thank you for the comment and I hope this reply helps.

I was expecting to see some Star Wars and gi joes like everyone does but to see that you and your little boy are collecting dragon ball z or super toys warms my heart. Thanks for the awesome video.
I greatly appreciate the comment and support! We both love Dragon Ball. I have a pretty good collection of the original Bandai/Irwin DBZ figures from the 90s/00s and my son is collecting the more modern figures. In fact, in my previous episode when we went to Toy federation's Retro Toy Con, it was my son that found the old Bandai Gohan for my collection. Thank you again.
I’ve always wanted this type of relationship with my father, but instead he pushed me in sports and I got to play D1. As an adult working for my family now, I have made up all the lists years of collecting. With my father I might add, but that’s a different story.
But to experience as a child with your father, I can’t imagine!
Thank you for the comment and support! I greatly appreciate it. We are having a blast and I'm thankful this is one of a few hobbies we are able to enjoy together.
Same with my dad and sports

I have been in there once. We bought a house about an hour southwest of there in SC. Have owned it for almost 18 months (I am still in NY til I can retire and start new career). I didn’t know Toy Fed was there until this past spring when I saw their video trying to build a DragonFly for a guy from NC. Place is pretty awesome! Next year I hope to be down there for their toy convention as well as The Joe con (not sure if I will be there in time to make Toylanta, though that is only two hours away from me).
That's awesome to hear and I appreciate the comment. It's definitely a gem of a place if you're into vintage toys. We visited The Retro Toy Con for the first time this year and had a blast. We plan on attending next year as well as other shows too.
