Quilting My Dream Patchwork Hoodie - Sewing Vlog
Hello! I first started this quilted hoodie in August, and now in November I finally finished! This hoodie is everything I could have hoped for and I can’t wait to wear it during the winter months. This was a great scrap busting project and I even had to dip into some of my fat quarters to make this project work. I love looking through the patchwork and picking out fabric from a previous project.

King Fish Knitting - Filet Lace Antique Pattern
That’s not really steaming, that’s ironing. For steaming you have to hover the iron above the actual surface of the piece
Awesome, love it
Its so cool
Micro plastics down the sink into the sea.
Awesome vid... Wanting to make a looser fitting hooded jacket... thanks for the leadership in making the fabric as I can BEFORE I buy the pattern! lol
What a great use of little pieces! I like the hood. And you can never go wrong with The Beatles. Good for you for the environmentalism.
Didn’t you have google? 😂😂😂
Wow
I love this.
You did a wonderful job I applaud your stick to it attitude..I love your channel.
Love ur video. And the jacket has inspired me to do one. Thanks for all ur tips. And it’s really a pleasure for me to see young women sewing 😊
Next time you need a spray adhesive try sugarwater or hairspray. Both wash out in the laundry.
So cute…..well done
Great job! Love that you didn't give up!
A quilted/patchwork hoodie has been on my to make list since forever and this just gave me new motivation to finally start one. It looks amazing!
Could let us know what pattern and where might we find it please.
I can’t find it anymore! I think it’s been taken off the internet. Someone suggested I check a webpage archive website so I’m going to check there. I’ll let you know if it find it!
Such nice work!
I love the challenge of designing and creating clothing from scraps! Love what you created!
Beautiful! You did a great job!!
You're color blind, it's green 💚
Definitely green, maybe she's keeping us on our toes.
I am inspired by your finished hoodie. It’s beautiful. 🇨🇦❤️
FWIW, I can hear you just fine, except for the outro. The music at that point is a bit distracting, but I, also old, can hear you.👍
Pin, pin, pin down until completely dry... = Blocking
I found a lot of memories in the quilts that my grandmother made, several dresses and a bikini that I made and Barbie dresses that my mother made.
Your hoodie turned out so beautiful!! I agree that you didn't need the pockets. Great job!
Music too loud could not hear you very well x
So pretty! You’re going to have people stopping you to ask where you got it!
Such a cute garment!
I love these designs where can I find them?

Your hoodie is adorable! Hidden pockets in the side seams would work nicely and should be easy to add. I’ve had both a quilted hoodie and a quilted jacket on my to-do list for over a year. Hopefully, I can get time to make at least one this winter. Tip: There are several effective-less expensive-versions of basting sprays, including one I tried-and like-by Chatterbox Quilts. Goggle for more/similar versions. Thank you, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
I Love IT soooo much.
It turned out beautiful! Please don’t put music in the background. It was hard to hear you. It just turned out gorgeous ❤
Thank you!! And I’m going to be more mindful of the music in future videos, I know the music made it hard to hear. Especially at the end
❤keep up the good work 😊
@@sunflower.sewingYour voice is so pleasant no need whatsoever for the annoying “music” repetitive sounds. Beautiful hoodie!
Thank you. I enjoyed your video. I hope in the future to create something beautiful. 😊
super joli mais un peu plus long, ça aurait été encore mieux ! Bravo !!!!!!
Well Done !! Great job problem solving. So sad that the pattern is not there anymore 😢..... I don't really like quilted clothing....maybe because I used to be really fat and never wanted to add to my bulk.... I have lost lots of weight and now I think I would consider a jacket like this hoodie. I I'm totally into scrap quilting. I definitely would need pockets and I think I would put internal pockets on the side and I would need more lengths.... I'm still self-conscious of my hips and tummy even though I'm around the 150 lb mark. Thank you so much for all the work that you did. Having done some crumb quilting I knew that it was going to take you longer than you thought. But I do find crumb quilting or patch piecing therapeutic and relaxing.... Sometimes I just spend time sewing my scraps together from quilts without a plan... And then later on do something with the fabric that I've created from scraps..... But I definitely am interested in making some sort of a jacket... Something was really funky buttons down the front because I'm not a pullover the head kind of person. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!❤👍
You might find a copy of the old webpage on web archive
I’ll have to look!
Great job on the hoodie.
The hoodie is so cute on you. You are talented.
should i block a blanket? i’m new to crocheting and i wanna make sure the blanket i’m making for my mom lays flat. rn there’s no curling since the yarn i’m using is pretty heavy but as it gets longer i don’t want that to happen
It turned out adorable.
Your annoying music is so loud I can’t hear you other wise wonderful job. And y😢are adorable
Yes, unfortunately loud music alienates older/hearing impaired quilters, of which, unsurprisingly, there are many. We would rather hear you than the chintzy music because, otherwise, your videos are freaking amazing, like this one!
I’ll keep that in mind!
when you press acrylic with an iron its actually called murdering the acrylic because your melting the fibers together and flattening the yarn. It can still give a great effect for tapestries and bookmarks but I wouldn't recommend doing it for clothes. For clothes, I would steam block it by holding the iron above it and pushing hot steam onto the piece without touching it or using a steamer to avoid melting the acrylic.
Great job,
Is there any tutorial step by step please ?
Turned out awesome ! 🥰
No puedo creer que se pueda hacer con un círculo!!! Parece fácil , voy a intentarlo. Maravilloso 👏👏👏
Very cute! Good job!
So worth it.
So cute!
