Ngl; hardcore would be so nice if there were are few very unfair things that would change.. i played classic like 3 months before the first addon.. pretty much played every addon until classic release and played classic only.. and... there are a lot of quirks that you simply have to know to survive hardcore. I don't blame any casual player who never played vanilla/classic on quitting hc.
You aren't wrong, but at the same time, part of the fun of Hardcore IS experiencing the old Knowledge check that kills your character. That's how you learn what not to do on your next go through :)

FYI, My air conditioning is broken and it stays around 90 degrees with over 80% humidity in my apartment. If I want to go shirtless I damn sure will. Thank you so kindly for pointing out the things I did wrong. Hardcore is a fun thing mainly for exactly this reason: In the heat of the moment it's easy to forget what could save you. I've played wow for over 20 years mostly on a paladin running my own guild and doing raids. AOTC pretty much everything up to this expansion. But Hardcore is just a fun way to play with some risk that you can lose a character to being stupid, or drunk, or inexperienced on a class, or even just bad luck. I never claimed to be great at this game or any other. But what I don't do is go telling people how they are "bad players" because they choose to post how they died for the entertainment of others. You know NOTHING about what kind of player I am. You know only that mistakes were made here and my character died. Which is no skin off my ass. It really is part of the fun of the game.

I dont understand the appeal with retail at all -for an old gamer that player unreal tournament for years and the old vanilla -There is no appeal , oneshotting mobs and get purple gear by doing a basic quest , its just like cigarettes for addicts . The game should be about the journey -not how what you wear or have in the bank, but I guess a game made in usa for us audiunce should actually look like it does now and function like a corporate easy cashcow
