KBG Welding, we practice transparency in our everyday dealing with customers. It is our comfort with who we are as elite in the welding/structural steel industry that we want to educate the layman or woman in our field. When you have a project that calls for metal work of some kind we want it to be a pleasant experience.
For the up and comer or person considering the trade we want to bring you information to help your decision or transition easier. From the basics of the execution to the basics of bidding. Especially in an industry that holds no set standards when it comes to pricing.

Welding project: Concrete Wall reinforcement with structural steel
I remember when i first started out, I thought I had to learn all of this. So while we were working, I would give them a sixteenth and they would get confused. So it turns out most guys just use eighths but this would be more useful for trades that require precise measurements
Nut down . Otherwise bolt falls out .
He needs a kbg t-shirt
😂 it’s coming! Thanks for watching!
I brain shorts out too ole fella. 😅
Keep it up awesome fellers
Goood Job litttle brother
commments going craazyyy
Let’s fucking goooo
Now this is amazing
Trash as fuck man 😭😂
I know a few mental toolbags.
My rod has always been my guide.😅
I've managed to stick weld with 7014 rod, where the heavy flux helped me avoid getting the rod stuck. But 6010/6011/6013 with their thin flux have so far resulted in total failure. Hot start/arc force settings on my welder didn't seem to help. I just put it down to poor hand/eye coordination, which has always been a problem for me. But I will try the pool cue method and report back on how it works for me!
I'm sure this is important but an example would be good. Getting ready to build a railing and if I can weld the bottom how odes it stay together?
wow thanks so much it was so easy
Nut down
A long time😂. It's not easy, and anyone saying it is please run a vertical SMAW and upload it. Your welcome. Upload you doing it. Not the finjshed piece...
Hey, just wanted to share the Gospel that all men need, the Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) this means we all deserve death and separation from a perfect and holy God. But God did not leave us for dead, He sent His only begotten Son to die in yours and my place, so that anyone who believes in Him and repents of sin will be saved from separation from God, and have eternal life! I urge you please put your faith in Jesus Christ and follow Him, He promises to save all who cry out to Him and have a humble heart. We arent guaranteed another day so we must repent of sin and seek Him today while He may be found!
I have rust blocking my liner.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍
What’s your favorite type of projects?
"The rods hot, whatever" killed me
Pool q is same as striking and on bare metal not a problem it’s painted metal that’s the problem
Probably an issue i might never manage to beat...it's frustrating
That’s flux not mig
Great text placement
THANK YOU !!!!
I always use a little "scratch plate" to start the rod up.
thank you so sir for the information ❤❤❤
Thanks mate, all the best from Australia.
The snag is for a fireman’s hose. You’re welcome
This is a master class in putting shit in the way.
Don't forget to put rod wax on the tip of your rod they have it in the tool room
Using shielded gas would make the welds look better too!
Laughing in metric.
I tried to watch this video but whoever put the subtitles on it, We're so large you couldn't see the video! Watch the point of the video?
Thanks! Will be trying this soon.
Bro, I wish i had someone teach me this when I started out. This literally would have saved me. Thank you for sharing this.
No need to bevel a tubing used for railings it’s so thin
So I know it gets hot and I see obviously people saying don’t hold it for ever but do you stop your welding then let go or you keep going and just move your other hand away
What process are you using to weld that?
Stick, 7018. I’ve done it with that before in this type of situation but it didn’t have the pressure this one will
Burns through the glove though
You don't grip it... lmao
Somebody tell this guy to get back to work..when did you start welding ? Last week
Never take advice from someone that's wearing plastic headgear with no welding cap.. wtf
Where is the rest of this vid
Wonder how many gloves he goes through?
No more than anyone else i'm sure. Understand, I am not saying to hold the rod for the entire weld, if you do that the rod will heat up and glove will not keep heat off you. This is merely a starting practice. Strike are, start weld and get off of it. It does not heat up that fast so its not like lighting a lady finger firecracker, it's more like lighting a smoke bomb. Lady finger you do so with caution due to the danger that will come fast, but a smoke bomb you can hold in your hand, light then set it down when you feel like it but its not advised to hold it through out the process.
Thanks for making this possible 😉
Good advice bro. Also , make sure your material is free from contaminants like oil , etc. And that your amperage current is set correctly according to the strength and quality of your material.
I learned fast in your video than in my drafting class
Man in fucking scared of holding onto the rod 😂
