Flush heater core FREE and easy

Specifically for 2006 Ford F-250 6.0 but similar process for most vehicles. I like simple and cheap ways to fix or modify vehicles and I cannot think of a cheaper or more simple way to get the job down

Paint wheels the easy way -budget RZR build
Переглядів 1953 роки тому
Have not had many additional things for the budget RZR lately but after going on the outlaw trails in West Virginia it was time! Mud and water along with ruts were too much for this stock 900s so I cranked to shocks tighter (2 200lbs guys and a loaded cooler) and went from a 27” tire to a 29” and hopefully will have snorkels in the future!

Drilling hole in ecoboost intercooler?
Переглядів 7 тис.5 років тому
As you can tell oil that’s not supposed to be in there did come out. I feared the hole being a boost leak but I could tell no difference in power or fuel economy. That being said I would do it again! Worst case scenario I could plug it with I screw if I was not happy with the results. Any questions leave them below and I will answer best I can. Thanks!

My headlights won't work on high beam same switch . I have a 750 brute force. Any help would be appreciated
Can we get a close up . I’m having a hard time trying to get to connect this .
Sorry man I sold the truck
Thanks man, i have this exact one. This video helped.
I want to put 37 tires with raptor rim on the same truck
Thank you for video. A wire that we are thinking maybe connected to the Killswitch seems to be preventing it from starting. It was running fine and we drove it home from where we were riding and I was a while hanging out and it will not start. Is there a wire in that section where you replace the spring?
Man learn how to talk clearly!!!
Sweet, I will have to take mine apart and see.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for posting this! I didn't realize it was a cap on there, and thought it was some kind of round peg adaptor. So did all the guys who commented when I asked on Twitter, and the guy at O'Reilly sold me a harness that I had to splice in. Your video saved me a ton of hassle, thank you!
Glad to help man! I’ll be posting more Tundra videos soon if you’re interested or if they might help you
Yo....I appreciate...I have a bayou 250 and I'm a. But more confidant in rebuilding the kill switch after 18 years not running
I need help. I got a kawasaki lakota and my push start button doesn't do anything. Ever had a problem like this. I havent taken it apart yet idk whats gonna pop out lol please help
It’s not bad just take pictures and take your time. If your not comfortable I would take it to a professional mechanic
This just happened to me.... is there a fuse also?
Would that stop the electric start
That’s a possibility
Thank you your video helped me to find the 4 pin connector in the middle . Now I have trailer lights lol
It takes me three minutes to have the intercooler out of the truck to clean it out. Why drill the hole
How do you clean it out with
all you had to do was take the intercooler out and flush it. do an intake cleaning with amsoil power foam and install a oil catch can. you drilled an unnecessary hole my dude
That totally changed my outlook I’ll plug it back
Have you done this yet sir?
@@zackw7055 I was a master tech at Ford sir.
@@zackw7055 it's a common issues on 11-14 for the intercooler to get oil in it. There was a tsb for it to either take it off and flush it or replace it depending on how bad it was then do the intake clean. The oil catch can is after market and greatly reduces the oil blowby so yeah I've done it. A few times actually
Was I think is the key word here. Just a simple trick I posted to hopefully help some guys out. People can use their judgment if it’s a good idea or not seemed to help me pretty well
I have a 2013 3.5 drilled a hole at 50000 miles about a shot glass of oil came out have almost 80000 miles now runs great I’ve yet to put a catch can on maybe in summer
I sold my junk just as it started shuttering. I don’t feel sorry for the guy that bought it.
Did you notice an issue with the transmission's shift points with the wheels? I have 33s and 20 inch wheel and the shifting sucks specifically at higher speeds
I did not! The truck did start shifting poorly (on stock tires) until I took it to the dealer for a “transmission tune update”
I'm pretty sure this is what is wrong with my Prairie 400. I have another on/off switch that bypass's the switch. Anyway, went for a ride, worked fine then just quit starting. No spark to the plugs. Tried everything I knew. Then a friend tapped on the switch with a screwdriver and it started right up. I'm gonna give this a try. Thanks for the video.
Happy to help hope it works for ya
Thank you for the video this fixed my Kawasaki brute force 👍👍✅
I’m installing a champion winch on my girlfriends 2011 RZR 900 Trail very soon, so I’m obviously looking for ideas (such as your handle bar switch mounting location. As far as comments, Your explanation was great, but you need someone to help you with the camera. I’m sure you were ‘one handing’ one thing, moving things out of the way or holding with the other hand, phone in your mouth, etc, I get it, but it’d be nice with a little better camera work Everyone loves a budget build, Thanks for the video
Necesito saber todo el proceso de como aser funcionar la doble cuando sea necesario cuando esté en el lodo por ejemplo porfavor que sea traducido en español porfavor gracias
I super appreciate this video! This fixed Kawasaki which I’ve been having problems with since I got it! Thank you!!!
Happy to help!
Thanks, useful vid!. My klf 300b losses electrics sporadically, gotta check this and ignition switch I reckon.
My KVF 300 4x4 was acting like a rev limiter today and when I shut it off now no neutral light and won't start! The neutral light was flickering but nothing at all now
Install a catch can, $40. work great
Did you install a oil catch can.
Have you tried putting it on a ramp? I would love to see it at full flex.
I have not! I’ve leveled since then because in did rub the crash bar especially off road
@@zackw7055 good to hear that but the truck looks awesome as it was in the video.
So glad to see one of these without the leveling kit. I have a long bed like yours and have no interest in changing the suspension.
What size leveling kit would you recommend so it doesn’t rub I have a 2010 super crew 5.4 v8
I can’t say for sure this is a completely different body style than your 2010! My 2013 was recommended 6” of lift to runs 35s. If I were in wanting to stick with a leveling kit in a 2010 I would do 33 inch tires
That not a long bed its a short bed it's a 6ft bed the 8ft ones if it had one is the long bed
It’s a f150. It is a long bed
@@zackw7055 nope, it is not there is nothing long about it, the cab configuration makes it look long witch is cool because if you lift one of those up it will look like a super duty crew cab short bed those look badass... It's a short bed
Ford standard bed is 6’ long is 8’ short is 5’. Crew cab comes standard with 5’. 6’ is optional, and 8’ is optional on super cab.
It’s a long bed f150 the 5 is standard n less you get a r regular cab then you can option for the 8 foot bin
@@jasonboyer7945 The 5ft is not even a real truck bed it's a trunk.
Did the spacer lift cause any issues with the truck?
Put more stress on the old ball joints so I had to replace and put a uncomfortable angle on the axles and tore axle boots. That’s all I can remember I sold the truck over a year ago
Zack W I’ll be doing lower ball joints and tie rods while I have everything apart so those should be good, and then I’m doing a diff drop kit to get the CV angles closer to normal so hopefully that won’t be a problem. I’m also putting the same wheels that you had in the video on my truck once they are done being powder coated 😂
Thanks for the video. I have no spark on mine so Im going to check this.
Let me know, I have the same problem. No spark, 2 new spark plugs
Would it still engage the starter? Mine cranks over but no spark. Changed coil, plug and CDI. Figured it would be a simple fix since it just shut off while riding like I hit the kill switch.
I can’t remember for sure and I have changed atvs since but I believe it will not engage the starter
I have the same problem. No idea what it is.
Very late answer but it's the first time I've seen this video.but anyway it's probably your stater or generator as some people will call it .also could be the flywheel sometimes you'll lose a magnet or the keeper pin will work loose either of these will cause a no spark problem
I just did this . Had it open for a few day's. I did notice a difference in how my truck idles and runs . I also just did the plugs and changed out all the coul packs . Had a fault In #6 coil pack but changed them all . Keeping the rest as back ups . Also noticed a difference in power . I have 140000km on my 2013 ecoboost . Last summer o drilled a few 2 inch holes in my air box plus removed the fin like thing in the intake pipe right by the air box . I did notice a difference . No hp numbers but puch up a few thenth in mph 1/4 mile at put local track . She feels real good now . Unfortunately last night my daytime running lights will nolong turn off .
Your axles are worse than mine rusted to shit. U put it away wet and dirty
Heck yeah so I can give a real testimony on how good these are
How much did you pay for these? I’m looking into getting some curious what they go for
$1,000 I believe and the tires were about 40% tread
Has the leveling kit eliminated the rubbing? Great video man love the set up!
Yes it did! And thanks man
Which level kit did you get?
Hey, are any of y’all aware of the size of the three nuts that sit on top of the strut?
14mm I believe.
Before u did the repair was u getting any spark to your plugs
Sylass Holmes no I did not
@@zackw7055 so do you think this could be the problem with mine. I have a 05 Kawasaki brute Force 750. I'm getting all the right reading. I replaced just about everything for electrical. All it does is turn over
Sylass Holmes it’s possible? Worth checking. Maybe your contacts just need a good clean
Well my cdi box had melted on d left side where it plugs in at. I don't know if it burned the plug out or not. Before all this it was running. One day I jumped it off and I heard a pop. It didn't run no more after that.
On my prairie 300 I bypassed the brown wire running from the ignition relay to the key ignition. I assume it must have a raw spot somewhere. This got my neutral light back on. Still no spark so there’s a yellow and red wire running from the cdi to the kill switch. I cut the wire effectively cutting the kill switch but found another wire coming from the cdi with juice and tied it in to that one. I put a kill switch in that line that I tied in so that serves as my new off button .. hope this helps, I ran into so many forums on this issue and none helped.. this got me back going though..
Man i really appreciate this. I ran into this problem today on my 1998 Yamaha big bear 350 4x4.
Ldrichboy happy to help
I found out just by unbolting the lower ball joint is easy then you lift it to bolt it back on
Did the hole fit the shuttering problem?
Bryan Marino helped but did not eliminate it
Change spark plugs first. Ecoboost eats spark plugs
have another beer
I have a 2006 tundra I have the same rims as you 2014 snow flakes. I was woundering if I would need the spacer for the 3 inch leveling kit for the front. When I got the tires I didn’t have any issues with running whatsoever. I already have the rears on but do you think I’d get the same result. I don’t wanna bust my knuckles installing it just to find out I can’t drive my truck till I get spacers
xdriftmonstahx Beast yeah man I’m not for sure with your case but I had to run 1.5” wheels spacers
Have you covered the whole recently or is it still open since you drilled.... I plan on doing this to mine just to be in the Sade side but I might seal it up with like silicone paste
Frank V. Yes still have the hole. Couldn’t notice any difference in power
Zack W did it fix the shudders
Frank V. It helped but not completely
Did take the upper control arm and ball joint apart to have enough clearance to put the spacer and strut back in. I can’t seem to get my arm and ball joint apart to save my life, just wondering if there’s another way to do it besides taking that apart
Caden Fisher Yes I had to. Maybe rent/borrow a separator? I was able to use a hammer but I’m sure heat would help as well!
I used a pickle fork and that didn’t work maybe I’ll try the separator
I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra double cab I’m planning on lifting going with the 3 inch lift I was just wondering did you put spacers on the front and back and if just the front is it a big difference than the back?
Joe Spencer yes it is a fairly big difference. The back sits slightly higher but still looks level with 3” front and 2” rear. If you are doing 3” front I would recommend a add a leaf in the rear if you tow anything. I tow a lot and my rear was too saggy with just the block
I have a set of 33x12.5r20 on my FX4, got them for 760 dollars with free shipping. I really love the look and the ride, much better than the Atturo Trailblade mud tires I had, that I could not get any tire shop to correctly balance. Great for the price.
Where did you wire you purple wire? For the reverse lights?
Casey Locke did not wire the purple one. I believe it’s a accessory wire
