There is a tutorial in the game that explains this exact mechanic and the only thing it mentions is mashing the 4 buttons on the right.

You could also spam the A B X and Y buttons for even faster recovery time (if you’re on PlayStation that would be the ⭕️❌🔺🟥)

Rotate the analog and it'll triple in speed depending on how fast you rotate it.

if you spam mash every single button isntead of just the left stick you can cut that 5sec to like 2
